Due to the update to the water activator mesh, the new version modifies a Persistent reference. I was concerned that this would result in problems updating on an existing save. However, I just tested on an existing save using 1.2 where the bathing cell had been visited, and upgrading to 1.3 didn't appear to cause any issues or inconsistencies. I'm throwing this warning out though in case anyone sees issues or wants to start a new game to be safe.
Le tub is now a smidge bigger and features both entrance and exit steps (yes I finally caved lol). This also means the mod is now compatible with Underdog animations, since your character won't have to attempt a swan dive to exit the bath.
The water mesh now looks like actual water! It seems to have been a bug/oversight with the vanilla rainbarrelwater.nif. Thank you joy91 for all their effort in figuring this out and for teaching me something new!
I also added the updated mesh as an optional replacer. Grab that file if you want to replace all instances of the rainbarrelwater.nif in your game with true watery goodness.
As always, please let me know if you run into any issues and I'll do my best to sort it out.
Thanks everyone for all the feedback!
P.S. Feel free to add screenshots of your bathers, it's always nice to see how things look with different graphics setups. Please keep it SFW though, so I don't have to tag this as adult.
But how do I trigger the bathing process? This procedure requires a third-party mod? I tried to trigger the bathing process using Bathing in Skyrim - Renewed, and all I got was a stationary character and bugs in the interface, which are only cured by restarting the game.
Edit: Hmm, maybe I already know. I guess it's because I forgot to generate the bathing animations in Bathing in Skyrim - Renewed. Okay. For now, let's calm down.
Is it possible to exclude certain NPC's from the dialogue option to visit the bathroom through xEdit? With Skyrim Realistic Conquering, innkeepers are added to a few open world spaces like Nilheim, which wouldn't make sense to have a bathhouse considering it's a totally open area.
Thanks for the cool mod, it goes really well with Dirt and Blood by JaySerpa.
Hi! I can't describe how AMAZING this mod is! Absolutely fantastic! Can you please add an additional esp so that player-owned homes have a rectangular trapdoor on the floor (somewhere in the house that it makes sense) that leads to your bath?
Hi! I really want this bath in Lakeview Manor. What do I need to do to add a trapdoor that leads to it? An edit to the cell adding the trapdoor on the floor and a script? Or a script isn't necessary?
So the way that this mod works is that it adds a dialogue option to any NPC with the keyword JobInkeeperFaction. There are actually no trapdoors added to any vanilla cells anywhere. You could add a trapdoor to Lakeview and set it as a teleport door to the bathing room, but that's not something I'll do since that's out of scope for what I intended to make. You wouldn't need to mess with scripts, just plop down a trapdoor in the CK and check the "Teleport door" box, and select the trapdoor in the bathing cell as the one that it teleports to.
Wow, so easy? Neat! That's the first thing I'll do when I get my hands on CK, stupid Valve has blocked all purchases on Steam for the country of my location, and though it's free, it still counts as a 0 [currency] purchase X( Thank you for your reply! I can't imagine playing without your mod
Yep! That easy, followers won’t come in with you unless you finalize the navmesh in the cell to link the navmesh to the door, which is also pretty easy. Darkfox127 has a great tutorial on navmesh. And thank you, I’m glad you enjoy it!
Since it adds the dialogue option to any NPC with the keyword JobInkeeperFaction, there is the problem that sometimes you can find these NPCs roaming around in exteriors or in other places where obviously there is not a bathroom, but you can still ask them for a bath and you will be magically teleported there and back, ruining the immersion. Can you solve this issue somehow? Otherwise it is an excelent mod.
To be honest, I would say that's more on mod authors tagging NPCs who wander around as innkeepers. You could try asking the authors of those mods, or you could remove the keyword from the NPCs in question using xEdit (though they would lose any other functionality of an innkeeper).
Would you consider making a version where all the items inside are owned and can not be taken? Also thank you for this convient mod and it's BISR patch.
can someone made a patch for Dirt and Blood so that soap is automatically added to inventory everytime player get inside the cell? i tried to do this but iam bad at scripting
