Mortal Enemies 2.0 Test Version is now available to try out
This modifies playable race records, so beware if you are using another mod that may conflict. There will not be support patches until this is out of testing. I'm just putting it up so people can give feedback of where I plan to take the mod.
Small overview
Player/Humanoid Enemy attack cones are reduced to reasonable levels to better match animations just like the original Mortal Enemies affects creature attack cones. As a result, attack rotation restrictions were able to be relaxed to made combat more fluid while still keeping humanoid enemies from aimbotting.
This also means that player attack cones are also reduced based on the attack animations. The multiple effects balance out to make combat more about precision without having the jarring attack swing restrictions or enemies that seem too sluggish and easy to cheese.
This wasn't done before because I was afraid of conflicting with too many mods that modify player race stats. Once this is out of testing, all mods that modify player stats/racials/starting skills will be supported by request of the community.
Please try it out and let me know what you think.

12/5 SkyTEST Realistic Animals Predators Patch now available
12.19Keyboard trouble mod on hold until I get a new keyboard. 12/22 keyboard situation handled
Do I have to use Mortal Enemies, if I have MCO, Valhalla, Precision, and Plus Combat installed? I think creatures and animals still have this "sticking" thing so it's hard to dodge their attacks, not sure about Npc's though
no idea why but after installing this mod, hagraven sometimes stop attacking. I have lots of mods though, could be some other conflict edit: nvm it was abysal wind magic mod giving them spell that hagravens could not use and broke their AI
So a little birdy told me this mod makes ice magic slow the player down to a crawl. I was looking for a reason why this was happening and was absolutely livid to find out it may be this mod.
If a mods behavior makes you "absolutely livid" you need to get therapy for anger issues. Modding is a hobby, something to do for fun. Get away from the computer, pick up a musical instrument, take a walk.
So apparently Google decided to actually be helpful this year, as I've now discovered, through means already used before which got no results, that ice magic slows down the player in vanilla. I never experienced this in LE nor SE until about two or three years ago. But apparently it's vanilla.
OK, I have looked under Requirements on the Megalodon page, this Mortal Enemies page, even the Skypatcher page, and I cannot find a Megalodon/Mortal Enemies patch. I probably missed something obvious.
Are you referring to the new Mortal Enemies - SkyPatched? Does it include mods like Megalodon already? I would like to have large creatures have a realistic rotation speed!
Well, some more general "combat overhaul" mods pretty much do what this does, main one that comes to mind is Valravn. Blade & Blunt does something like this as well, but only for NPCs, not for "creatures". ...So it's often still helpful to use this. Just load it *before* anything that changes the same settings.
Personally I was about to ask if it's good to use with "Precision" before I saw your comment pointing out how long ago the last update was. That mod might be what you're looking for. It makes it so all attacks have accurate hit detection instead of the system Bethesda implemented.
I was thinking about precision but Mortal Enemies scales with other mods etc. much better + is causing less problems than Precision. I would love to use Precision mod instead of Mortal Enemies but in my mod list it's still just a dream...

I apologize for wasting everyone's time.
Is this an example of one of the things that this mod, Mortal Enemies, is trying to correct?
We need a patch.
Side note: This interesting new mod, Age of Beasts, says that the Megalodon is the "Most powerful creature ever existed on planet Earth".

Is it still worth using, or are there better mods that do the same thing but better or with more features.
