About this mod

Spooknik's - Tundra Trees HD SSE to SSE. It replaces the awful vanilla Tundra textures left untouched by all landscapes and tree mods I have used.

Permissions and credits
**Attention all gamers**
This is just a port of Spooknik's mod. Go to the original mod page and download from there. There is also the option for parallax on the bark as well. At least, go and give some kudos and endorsements. All credits go to Spooknik. This mod is not opted-in to receive Donation Points as the original mod is not

I just ran the mod through Cathedral Assets Optimizer for the 2k and 1k versions to have in BC7 but it was in fact no needed. You can go to the original mod page and download the original mod for your SSE (I recommend this). If you are annoyed by the MO2 warning because it detects that it was downloaded from the LE version, just open the metafile with a text editor and modify it.
The 4k version is untouched.
I tested all versions and they worked fine. See screenshots. I recommend the 2k version since 4k is only if you want to use a magnifier and in the 1k the branches look as awful as vanilla. All versions have diffuse and normals of matching resolution. There is no plugin and also contains the meshes.

In all the mods for trees and landscapes that I use, non of them touches these tundra textures, the result is the awful vanilla grey thing (that is not even a tree bark) that you can see in the images. Now, there is no more. I decided to upload it to SSE since I have to look specifically for the nif name in order to google to return this mod.

It overlaps with some SMIM nifs (and maybe some Noble textures, can´t remember now). You can choose which is the winner, the main reason for me to use this mod was the tundra trees as you can see in the pics, and those have no conflict in my load order (otherwise they will not be vanilla duh).

If you are an inexperienced modder, this mod will not affect your save in any way since it is only meshes and textures. It safe to install and uninstall each version just to see how it looks in the game. Use MO2 as normal or Vortex as you always do. Also, being as I said only meshes and textures, the conflicts will not break your game or cause CTD or anything. The mod conflicting files that are loaded last (below in the left panel of MO2) will win and its meshes and textures will appear in-game.

Original description

This mod is a re-texture of the tundra trees in Skyrim. It also includes UV-fixes for the vanilla meshes to give them a better UV scaling and better seams. It also includes new meshes for the CoastDriftWood and BranchPiles found through the game. It also
includes an optional plugin to limit these changes just to the Tundra region.

Textures are up to 4K for the bark and up to 8K for branches. There is also the option for parallax on the bark as well.

A word of warning: It's a really stupid idea to use 8K or even 4K textures in a practical setting. 85% of users will be best suited with 2k textures. Since this is modding, you have the freedom to choose.

        Requirements & Compatibility

Since these are just textures and meshes and a simple plugin, there are no requirements except the base game. Technically no DLC is required either.

             Download & Install

Download the mod using your mod manager. Install with Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manager. Work your way through the installer and choose any options that suit you.

If you choose to use the plugin, then make sure it's activated in your load order. It's load order does not matter, and it can be safely merged, but make sure you understand what it does before merging.
