Thank you for this mod ! I do not have any fear of lightning or electricity but I found the visuals and effect of vanilla shock spell lame. This mod make them look like the powerful blast of magic they should be.
I appreciate you doing this. This isn't a phobia that affects me, but I think it's a very noble thing for you to do. I wish you the best of luck as you work towards the completion of this mod. Downloading now for endorsement purposes.
ok, i found every sound, texture, effect and mesh used for shock spells and effects, that have shock, lightning etc.. in the file name. Which means i likely missed some. But even searching manually i wouldn't find those anyway. Will have to rely on users reporting them or me stumbling across them in testing.
I now need to replace them all with equivalent non shock visuals and soundbytes. To do this i will just overwrite the shock files with similar non shock ones. i might actually have this done by Tuesday.
The mod will then be feature complete, unless theres interest in removing text references or patching specific mods.
While I personally don't suffer this phobia, I think it's very kind of you to make a mod to address it. Downloading this solely to give it an endorsement.
Well i havn't quite solved it yet, atm it only addresses j'zargo for the original requester. How ever i have figured out the solution, it may take a day or 2 too implement.
So you have phobia of images of lightning or thunder sound, or the concept of electricity... all of it? I'd eally like to know as the only phobia iv'e heard of is only thunderstorms.
My suggestion would be to instead edit the spells directly, perhaps to a more generic "magic damage" set of names and visuals. That way you would run into FAR less compatability issues, since your mod could just be loaded after anything else that also tweaks these things.
That's my current plan. I'm going to replace any shock graphics with fire/ice or whatever, which wont even need an esp. Then in separate mod with an esp i will change the descriptions and names. lastly this current file will just be another optional.

Good job, btw.
Isn't that because it blows up and damages you/allies whenever you get in melee with an undead?
