New feature! Rufus will ride a cow if the player is mounted!
- Due to his existing "feature" of occasionally falling over for no reason, Rufus will in fact fall off the cow at random. - The cow has the same "ragdoll on hit" feature as Rufus and will go flying if attacked. - The cow uses a custom skeleton (by gg77) but will use your installed meshes and textures for cows.
My son has disappeared! The Mod is still installed and I can see the quest in my "completed quests" bit, he was following me around for a while but has now disappeared. I don't think I asked anyone to look after him either.
Is there any way I can find him? Console command maybe?
Generally the easy fix is to go to a quiet interior and sleep/wait a few days to let his AI sort itself out. He’s supposed to teleport to you if he gets lost. Sometimes it just takes time. If that doesn’t work you can check back.
Thanks for replying so quickly. I went and slept in a bed for a few days (moving around a bit in between) and he's still not shown up. I haven't change my load order or anything, not sure what happened.
I have run into a bug a few times where putting him in a "doing favor" state by holding down the activate key kinda freezes him up, and I don't yet have a solution for it. Could this be what happened? It's very possible even if you find him again his AI will be broken, because if he's not following you it's a bad sign. Honestly the most foolproof solution if he's broken is deactivate the mod, save, reactivate, load, and redo his very brief intro quest.
I haven't had a laugh like this in a minute. A patch between him and Improved Lydia dialogue would be something else I can just hear her being annoyed by this runt considering how much it sounds like she gets annoyed with me lol
Oh my God I almost can't take it! There should be radiant quests where you have to go fetch Rufus his Ritalin and give it to him or he forgets where he is in the time space continuum! LMAO!
I started a new game and the cow appears whenever I ride a horse even if Ihaven't unleashed Rufus upon Skyrim yet. I'm using Immersive Horses, the only mod I can think of that makes any conflict?
Oh my bad then. I'm pretty new to modding. So I just download the new version and overwrite the old one? I'm using vortex btw. Also thanks for this mod is the funniest companion I've seen so far hereon nexus
That was basically the origin of the name; I had an early working title of "realistic immersive fat idiot son," which was "RIFIS," and that sounded like Rufus so I named him that. I experimented with spelling out RUFUS by changing around the mod title, and it's certainly possible, but I didn't like that as much. Eventually the name stuck, it's a fine name for him, but the title changed.
First of all, gotta say, I absolutely ADORE this mod, Rufus is awesome and the constant ragdolling makes me laugh, but for some reason he doesn't move anymore. He just stands completely still, and doesn't follow me. He only teleports.
