PRT . X Legacy edition:
" I'm retiring from Skyrim modding after 5 years of work. PRT.X is my last version of an ENB I tailored over the past years.
Even if this release is not perfect (and will never be...), it is still the
closest to the original vision I had when I started it.
I'm proud and happy to share it as is.
"

5 REASONS WHY PRT OFFERS THE BEST SKYRIM EXPERIENCE
the screenshots are outdated from version 0.6, I don't have time to make new one from PRT.X

INSTALL OF PRT - 4 EASY STEPS

I: Download & Install the NAT-ENB plugin,
make sure the "NAT-ENB.ini" file is properly located next to the .esp and the .bsa files in the Data folder of the game.

II:
Download & Install ENB Helper SE ( requires SKSE64 ).
III: Download latest ENB binaries from enbdev.com and extract ONLY: d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll to the game roots folder, next to the game's .exe.

IV:
Download the PRT Enb preset of your choice :
- PRT. X Lite: Simple and easy to use, all the camera settings are preset. High FPS.  Good for gameplay, yet sexy looking with lot of different looks.

- PRT.X Regular:
The version everyone is used to know. Good balance between gameplay and visual quality. Relatively powerful yet simple to use, comes with lot of preset in the optional files.

- PRT.X Advanced:
A more complex version of Regular, with more films, cameras and grading.  The camera, lens and other regular options are now scattered in all the ENB passes using HDR datas. This is the replication of camera and you'll feel at home if you are photograph. Comes with a complete built-in manual for you to learn how to use it.

Once you downloaded the PRT version you want Then just drop all the files into the Skyrim SE main folder, where the game's .exe and the Enb
dll are.

Do the same with the optional presets for the regular version I made. (this preset won't work for Advanced or Lite)

That's it, now launch the game ONLY from the SKSE64 launcher, else ENB weathers won't be working.

HOW CONFIGURE AND GET THE MOST OUT OF PRT

First thing first: Calibrate your colors as explained below

Ingame Press:
"END" key to open the enb menu.
"PrintScreen" to take a screenshot in png, located in the Skyrim SE main folder.
"DEL" to toggle the Depth of Field (blur effect)
"Scroll Lock" to toggle the Enb on/off

Delete enblocal.ini if it doesn't work and use Shift+Enter to open the Enb menu.

EASY WAY TO CONFIGURE PRT-REGULAR

Located in the right panel of the Enb menu can be found the ENBEFFECTPOSTPASS.FX tab:

PRT CAMERA is where you can free your imagination; Desaturate the colors, change everything or just to remove the letterbox - black bars.

Please refer to the Helper screen by clicking on the "SHOW HELPER" box for more precise information about each camera settings,
as well as how to use any other PRT features and how to change the graphic quality if needed.

Various camera settings for PRT REGULAR can be found in the download section for instant gaming, educational purpose or as a base to customization.
They can be easily reproduced with the Advanced version with even more precision.

WHAT IS CALIBRATION AND WHY IT IS THE KEY FOR BETTER GRAPHICS

Calibrating is the action of color correction for monitors and desktop colors to match the correct values.

You probably already have played a game asking you to move a slider until a logo become visible or invisible in order to enjoy the game as intended;
this is calibrating.

Every monitor, Operating System and graphic cards give different colors, even the most expensive and professional one.
To calibrate them allow to everyone to get the same colors and enjoy any multimedia as it is intended from movie makers or game developers,
whom are working with calibrated monitors themselves.

As a professional and published color artist myself, my monitor and desktop colors are calibrated to perfection for different kind of output.
If a game doesn't reset my own setting, I never have to do anything when asked to move a brightness slider.

Like many video games, the shaders and effects of PRT depend of the color input,
and so a proper calibration is required to enjoy the ENB as intended.

HERE'S A QUICK WAY TO GET CALIBRATION DONE

First be sure no light is directed toward your monitor and the room where you are isn't too much bright. Close the curtains if you can.

You should always set Brightness (usually for black) and Contrast (usually for white) using monitor settings first then follow up with software if need be.
Gamma and colors should be done from software for best precision.

I: Download the calibration sheet from the gallery or open the one located into the enbseries/Textures folder of PRT.

This custom made sheet based on my own calibration is better and simpler to use than any other you may find online, hardware devices included.

II: Open your graphic card driver panel and find the desktop color settings or use the calibration panel from Windows.

III: Follow the instructions provided within the image; Gradually move the gamma slider until the PRC logo disappears,
while still being able to see all of the shades of gray and white, ideally using your monitor settings.

Once you are done, save the settings and enjoy the world of true colors.

If for whatever reason you cannot calibrate your colors this way,
then PRT gives you the opportunity to do it directly from the game within the Enb menu, as last resort only.
It won't be a good and proper calibration, It would only be for PRT alone, but it would still be better than nothing.

That's it, Enjoy !
