About this mod

Adds spells and combinations which are stronger than vanilla, and cost appropriately more magicka, making a mage character much more viable. Includes fun new spells and craftable magic items. ESL-flagged ESP which will not take up a load order slot.

The Career Mage

You want to play a mage character, but the more you progress in vanilla Skyrim, the less effective magic is.
Regardless of magicka, weak spells force you to cast them perpetually. This mod gives you more powerful magic.

Are you CHICKEN?  Your enemies will be, when you cast a fun new spell: the Poultrygeist.
You can also help them to depart rapidly with the unique spell Airborne. (Great fun on cliffs!)

Spells are available from wizards and other spell merchants all over Skyrim, and of course, in the College.
Loot chests will also contain new spell tomes and skill books.

This is not a complicated re-engineering of Skyrim magic.
A total of 35 spells were added, including combinations.

You won’t need a graduate degree to have a ton of fun.
Personally, I enjoy watching enemies go FLYING with the kill shot.

Forge these enchanted weapons:
Bow of Extraction           Absorbs Health and Magicka
Appropriation Mace        Absorbs Health and Stamina
Bête Noire                        Causes sun damage especially to undead

Craft items to replace other enchanted articles, simplifying your life considerably.

Circlet of Carnage           For destruction and restoration magic
Circlet of Poise                Magic Resistance and Speechcraft
Creation Circlet                Alchemy and Blacksmithing

The following mods have all been closely examined with no conflicts evident:

Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim

Immersive College of Winterhold

Wintermist - Enchantments of Skyrim

Balanced Magic

Phenderix - Magic Evolved

Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim

Some features may compete with mods that edit wizard/mage merchant chests, or boss loot containers.
Perk trees are untouched for compatibility.
