I am in the process of rewriting this mod using Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID). It would seem that this will allow greater variety and flexibility, while improving compatibility.
Thanks for your comment. I just updated my modlist and re-installed Requiem. Once it is working properly, I am going to update my mods using SPID when I can and make it as compatible with and without Requiem as I can. No idea as to timing, but I have begun.
Hello, i'm currently setting my NPCs with SPID for days and i just find this mod today... This looks really great and the outfits choices are very well made (+ your bodyslide files for CBBE, great job here) So... I did read description and some posts, you linked in post just below another version using Requiem and SPID but it's seems to be for AE ? Does it work with SE ? If not, are you still planning to do a SPID version for this mod page ?
Thank you. I answered that question below stating "Sorry about that. You are right - when I updated it, I did my Requiem version first. So to answer your questions - "Yes" I do plan on updating it in a non-Requiem mod list. The timing is in question though as I am currently building and testing that non-Requiem mod list right now. So, I cannot be sure when I will get around to updating. " I do not think it will work in SE and I do not run SE anymore.
Hello, I really love the idea of this mod but I cannot seem to get it going correctly. I have invisible outfits. I have other mods that add more population and notice that all of those NPCs seem to be in their default outfits unchanged, how would I get those NPCs to wear your clothing? Also, when you say to extract the BSA's, do I extract them to a random folder I create or in the same folder they come from? I extracted them to a random desktop folder.
Thanks for your message. Do me a favor, try the current addition of my mod here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/61882. This will likely fix some of your issues. As far as added NPCs go, SPID is really a game changer in this arena and I do need to incorporate it even more in my Outfitted mods - almost to the point of re-writing them specifically for SPID usage and away from leveled lists.
Thank you for the reply! Do you plan on doing a standalone version that doesn't require requiem? I only ask because I'm not super sure if I'm interested in that particular mod but it seems that it may be required for the anniversary edition.
Sorry about that. You are right - when I updated it, I did my Requiem version first. So to answer your questions - "Yes" I do plan on updating it in a non-Requiem mod list. As far as BSA's go, check out this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316 for extraction. If you use Mod Organizer, it is also a feature in that program.
Thanks for the responses! Yeah, I use Mod Organizer but I can't find the extraction feature in it. On the subject of extraction, when I extract the BSA's, do I need to extract them to a separate folder or within the folder they came from? Sorry if that's a very stupid question but I just like trying to follow things correctly haha. Also, if you're okay with it do you mind if I post you a screenshot of my load order? Just in case you see something off with it or even possible mod conflicts that I might be unaware of.
I'm glad you're eventually going to update without the need for Requiem! I actually have been holding off playing Skyrim until I can get this mod to work for me because something that's always bummed me out was how the NPCs all seem to wear the same few outfits. This mod adds the exact spice I need in my game.
If you use a BSA extractor, whether the one id MOD Organizer or Cathedral, it should do it properly. But to answer your question, the BSA should be extracted to the mod folder that it came from. You will see that there will be meshes and textures in a folder that will be structured similar to other armor/clothing mesh and texture folders. I recommend learning the basics of modding and how Mod Organizer works. It will solve a lot of frustration for you going forward. Please do not post a load order - honestly very little can be learned from a load order posting - perhaps just major conflicts (3 Perk Overhauls installed as an example). Best to learn about XEdit (https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/) and analyze the load order yourself. Then learn about directory structures and how Mod Organizer handles them and you are well on your way to solving most load order problems.
Love the idea of this mod if it doesn't conflict (I'll wait for SPID) and there's a way to easily customize it. For example, I use a mod to replace magic user outfits that I don't want to replace. Also, I use the Divine Outfits SPID. That said, quick ways to outfit pirate wear to the proper people and other upgraded outfits that make sense would be cool!
I did. That version is here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/61882, albeit with some outfit changes. It does need to be constantly updated. However, if you would like to do a version and/or work with me on a version, I would be happy to allow that and/or participate. Life has made time a bit less available recently.
I just found out that Practical Pirate Outfit got updated a while back :O This one seems to change things quite significantly to the point that stuff that I output in BodySlide through their CBBE files gives me pink textures in game (since Skyrim Outfitted points to another directory, I presume)? If you have the motivation and fortitude for it, would it be possible for this mod to receive an update in the future that addresses this? :o
I will update when Requiem SE comes out officially - and now probably the 11/11 update from Bethesda. I keep meaning to do this without it but honestly having a great deal of fun playing with the Wabberjack lists - so my motivation is waning a to actually do "real work." I do promise though, I will get these updated.
Oh I get you, haha. Usually, I prefer playing the game over modding because it's so damn fun, especially when you actually have done some modding and you see it all work in-game as it should. Take your time fam and don't worry.
This looks awesome. I have used Common Clothes for a long time, am I right in assuming that I need to remove Common Clothes' level list distribution file before I install your mod?
Edit: Just realized that since you deactivate all the esp's it doesn't matter. Derp.
This mod is such a great addition my game, on god.
All of the outfits fit seamlessly and tbh, this may well have been the mod that pushed me to wanna use anything to do with Common Clothes (I usually like to convert my outfits to a custom version of CBBE 3BA that I've yet to release and since CC comes with like a million outfits, many of them being super similar to each other, the conversion takes a million years but that's a me issue) and I'm glad I did.
You've done a really good job at distributing the various outfits throughout the game and it feels so new. Everyone is already much more distinct than before and it's awesome. Kudos, my man!
nah my bad, i just learned im not extracting all of the bsa. Btw could you make it compatible with immersive wenches so they can use the maid outfit. because i dont see any change to them?
Glad you figured it out. For compatibility with Immersive Wenches, what would I need to do to make it compatible? I am not familiar with that mod, but my guess is that you would need to open up the NPCs added by that mod in either SSEdit or the Creation Kit, and then simply add whatever outfits you want them to wear. That is not really a compatibility issue, rather it is a modification to Immersive Wenches.
Im not really understand importing NPC through SSEdit. Do you have any guide around to do that and maybe adding outfit from another clothes mod? btw thx for the reply, youre really kind
Well, you are not importing outfits, you are changing the default outfits in the Creation Kit. I can't really write a guide for you, but I will say in this case Google is your friend. Also, there is a DISCORD just on Skyrim modding that has moderators better than me describing what to do. It is really not that hard, but you will have to put in some time if you want to learn. The good part is you will not have to wait for someone to make something for you - you can do it yourself and tweak the game just how you like it.
