Does this mod use an .esp plug-in? I can't find it!
READ THE MOD DESCRIPTION
Where are the weapon replacements? Are there other options for the Ebony/Daedric/etc. armors?
READ THE MOD DESCRIPTION
This looks a lot like other armor mods I've seen - what does it do?
READ THE MOD DESCRIPTION
Will you make a FOMOD?
I hope to eventually! But unfortunately it is not my current priority for a few reasons: 1) I want to focus on some other armor/weapons/clothes replacements first. 2) I have limited time due to other responsibilities 3) most importantly, many meshes use textures from multiple folders and I did not change their default. So unless there is a program which can pull the assigned texture paths from the .NIF files (PM me if so!) I would have to go through each mesh manually.
Will you make this modular?
That is an eventual goal - but see my previous answer. For now, I recommend just deleting or overwriting any meshes you do not want to use.
I have ____ problem with Bodyslide/CBBE/etc.
I don't use those mods myself, so they are not officially supported. Again, this is intended as a simple, minimal, drop-in replacer for Vanilla.
As stated below, I am happy to host any user-made modifications or patches, though.
Why isn't _____ armor showing up properly? / Why is my head invisible?
You probably have a mod which changes the default mesh path from Vanilla, or one which changes the slots the armor uses. (In the latter case, one solution might be to change the mesh slots in NIFScope to match those assigned by the .esp)
Will you make a patch for Open-Face Helmets/____ Guards / ____ Body/ [Other] mod?
No, not anytime soon. Mostly because: 1) I don't use many of these mods. 2) I have other responsibilities, so I have to choose between if I want to learn to use the CK to create proper patches for specific mods, or try to create more content when I can 3) my copy of the CK isn't currently working.
Will you make stand-alone (non-replacer) versions?
No, see above. But, many of the original mods are stand-alone - and I highly recommend you check them out!
Can *I* make a patch for Open-Face Helmets/____ Guards / ____ Body / [Other] mod?
Absolutely! And I will be happy to host it here with full credit to you. Unfortunately, since my mods use assets from different sources, I cannot give permission for file redistribition. But, that being said - get in touch with me. I'm happy to let you know where the original assets come from, and if the creators are OK with it then so am I.
Are you doing DLC content as well?
Possibly! It depends entirely on 1) what armors I can find that others have created which are of suitable quality/style, 2) which ones I can get permission to use, 3) and if I think they can easily be edited/retextured to match. Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I have still not made it to the DLC content after all these years playing off-and-on, so I am mostly unfamilar with the armors apart from the Nordic Carved armor, Dawnguard, etc.
Thanks for the continued support and appreciation!!
I've received many requests for permission to port my mods and their assets to other platforms, or to upload improvements/patches etc. I give permission for reuse only if you have obtained permission of the original creators and under the following conditions:
Alternate Guard Mods to consider: Varied Guard Armor SE - Vanilla Mashup - Replacer, Guard Armor Meshup, Guards Armor Replacer SSE, Heavy Legion SSE, The Draconic Legion - A New Era.
Other amazing clothes/armor: https://sforzmods.tumblr.com/ & https://skyrimfuckery.tumblr.com/
For my own game, I also use some replacers that I unfortunately do not have permission to redistribute. They work perfectly if you rename the files to overwrite vanilla - and I recommend them! The Vanilla game uses a system to automatically replace textures on a single mesh, like with the guard armor. This means that for these to work, you need to rename them to replace both the Vanilla textures & meshes (choose the texture that best fits the original color, etc.) I also changed the texture path in NIFScope to match, but I am not certain if this is necessary
These mods are as follows:
Forsworn - Wildling Fur Armor
Noble Clothes - Colovian Noble Clothes & Imperial Fine Clothes
Draugr - Creation Club Zombies (slightly retextured). (Yes, it actually works, just replace the models. It might require some experimenting to avoid excessive clipping with armor, beards, etc. But it does give a fresh look to things.)
"Realistic Armors"
Also Mod:
*has protrusions and horns on helmet*
*not called "realistic helmets"*
User:
*doesn't read description to learn that I didn't make the armors*
Skyrim:
*has dragons*
When Bodyslide is run with "Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer - CBBE" installed, meshes for all of the female vanilla armours are processed. These are pulled from vanilla resources and will overwrite modified meshes, reverting all female models back to vanilla. Hence female players and NPCs will have vanilla meshes while males (not affected by CBBE) will keep their new meshes. The meshes are refreshed whenever BS is run, so replacing the meshes within the CBBE mesh directory will not work - it simply pulls vanilla ones back from Skyrim.esm (I suspect).
One fix is to uncheck each "CBBE Vanilla" armour type in the Bodyslide pop-up eg "CBBE Vanilla - Body Fur 1 (Physics)" - that's one check box for each armour piece of each affected armour type (body, feet, hands - and hoods for those with hoods, but no helms) The bad news is that it doesn't remember your settings and has to be redone whenever BS is run again. The entire CBBE Vanilla GROUP can be disabled, but there are MANY armour/clothes that do not cross over, and all of those would be lost. Another alternative is to reinstall all the Simply Realistic Armors after any BS run.
Went into the created CBBE Mods folder with explorer - despite having unchecked Vanilla and Vanilla(Physics) when that was generated, and again when it was saved, there are Vanilla meshes created - unchecking the mods for the vanilla save worked (no mod nifs created), unchecking the "vanilla" for the mod save didn't. Looked at the Daedric cuirass nif using Nifskope and sure enough it is vanilla. Going to delete out the unwanted directories.
EDIT: nevermind i found it. i have tried build it on 2 overwrites like SIDBUGADO mentioned but still not fix. i also wonder if the generated files from previous bodyslide run still affecting the load order but have no idea where to look. anyone can make some suggestions?
you can simply reinstall cbbe and uncheck the cbbe vannila clothes option and build the body again in bodyslide and ready when you enter the game the armor will be working <3 br aqui <3
All-In-One Weapons Replacer v1.1 Update:
1.2 Main File Update Details
Added Optional Files:
If you prefer anything from v1.0, just copy the mesh/textures files from it and overwrite as needed. I made this mod for my own tastes.
As of now, I will be taking an indefinite break due to other responsibilities. I will be very slow to respond for the foreseeable future. If there's any serious issues, missing files, or credit that I forgot to give, PM me and I will try to reply as soon as possible.
I am still happy to host any patches/fixes/modifications/tweaks etc. that you create! I have left all old files up, so mix and match between them as you prefer, or see what you can create (if anyone has an alternate preference for armor color, helmets, etc.)
I've received a lot of requests to port/patch this mod (and other ones I made). Please see the sticky FAQ post for updated permissions.
In summary, I do not expect to be active on here for the immediate future. I approve the reuse/porting of my mods as long as full credit is given. However, my permission only extends to my own work in editing/assembling the files. This means that you must obtain permission from the original asset authors and/or make sure that they allow this in their terms of use. I did not seek or obtain permission for further reuse or porting of any assets beyond the inclusion in my own mod. That part is your responsibility, and I leave it up to you as the creators and community.
Best of luck - and thank you, everyone! <3
