Attention, playing at over 60 fps can cause physics bugs which may create issues with this mod like T-posing etc.

Latest update may require a clean save.

Obviously I am not an animator and therefore rely on Bethesda's awful animations (sorry Bethesda lol). I did a ton of work and spent a 1000 hours getting these stupid animations which are split into a million files for some freaking reason, to work on a timer and not totally fall apart and break into a million pieces. I did this when Special edition was like 6 seconds old and tried to support it for a long time afterwards.

Eating Animations and sounds has MUCH better animations and I prefer it. Especially the new update. Since it doesn't cover NPC's and it doesn't have some of the quality of life features my mod has, I put together this update as a way of complimenting that mod, and to say thank you to loyal Animated Eating users and reward them with 100+ new recipes if they still choose to use it :)

I highly recommend eating Animations and sounds though, its a huge step up in animation quality.

If you don't like the choices I've made on the food models, download an old version of the mod and replace them with whichever ones you liked from the old versions, or use nifskope to make your own

When NPC's use cups or bowls to drink the textures are purple. I literally dont even have other texture mods installed that would affect that. How can the textures be "Missing" if nothing is even being overwritten? I ran Nemesis and tried putting this at the bottom of the load order, no change. I dont know whats wrong, any ideas?

If you do not want to run this mod with Mealtime, delete all the MT flagged animations in the animation file FNIS bugs out on, and you'll be able to run Animated Eating through FNIS again.

Game will break if you eat tomato soup. Char will get stuck indefinitely. Not even entirely closing and rebooting the game will help. Had to go back to an earlier save.
Its better to eat tomato soup with "enable unknown food check"

Not anymore, but you can use older version that supports FNIS (4.2.0 IIRC)

Is there any major change between that version and the current one? I'd try it but if there's bugs that we're fixed or added food items I'd rather not bother. I don't use Nemesis because I'm on the steam deck and some animations won't play nicely in nemesis due to its limited performance

Same! Nemesis just does not play nicely with the steam deck. Crashes and bugs galore.

Abandon both FNIS and Nemesis and switch to Pandora. It is the latest successor of both engines, and causes fewer headaches. I have no problem with any mod (including Sexlab Animations) that needs FNIS or Nemesis.

Hey, I adored this mod to bits back in 2021 and been using it ever since.

I was updating/reinstalling my mod list and with testing I noticed that since version 1.7.x of Zim's immersive artifacts the patch included in this mod does not work anymore.

The animations for Namira's cannibalism ring will be halted by the player eating a piece of cooked beef as it used to be in version 1.5 before the patch existed.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this to work with Version 1.7.4 of ZIA?

when I first installed Animated Eating Redux v. 4.02 in 2020, it worked just fine together with FINIS. Animations just stopped working when I added a sword and flintlock mod and ran FINIS.
Any idea what might have caused this?

the bugs are user side issues.  I've been using it for years on over 20 mods and not once have I ever had any issues with Nemesis.

All these people complaining and moaning about Nemesis not working don't know what they are doing.  and 99% of these can be solved if the users followed instructions and remembered to wipe the previous cache.

Been using Nemesis for years and run 1700 mods with 20+ nemesis required mods.  Never had one crash, one error or one issue that wasn’t caused by something I did wrong.

Ran Nemesis over 100 times.  Don’t blame others for user end problems.

You could alternatively try Pandora Behaviour Engine which can be used instead of Nemesis

Certain food items (example Apple Pie slices) make the game crash

    Any ideas?
