Article:TROUBLESHOOTING and COMPATIBILITY NOTE ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// FAQ If I don't answer your question, that means there's already an answer in either the change notes, the manual, the config file or the description. I'll be addressing the most frequently asked questions here.
Q: Will this work with 21:9 screens? From my limited testing, the swf works fine. I won't be making 21:9 specific presets since I don't have a native 21:9 monitor to do tests on. To adapt the config for 21:9 monitors, use [-220,1500] as x-range.
Q: How do I disable a HUD element? There may not be a visibility toggle for all HUD elements, but you can still render them invisible by setting their scale to 0 or move them off-screen.
Q: Is this compatible with [map marker mod]? I've put up a list of compatible map marker mods in the description
Q: Can we change settings in-game? Too lazy to implement but never say never.
Q: Is it safe to merge the plugin? Yes. Q: Anniversary Update breaks the mod! Try installing as loose files.

2021 Status Update — Mod Permission Hi everyone. I apologize for going missing so long. Been almost three years huh. I got a few DMs asking me for permission to use/modify mod and and whatnot and I'm sorry about the no-reply.
I hereby grant full permission to do whatever you want, as long as your project is not about modifying SkyHUD itself as a whole (like making "SkyHUD 2" or such). If you're making patches or derivative projects based on SkyHUD, just go ahead no need to DM me for permission anymore.
Compass Markers You may upload this file anywhere as compatibility patch for your map marker mod. If you're not the original author, the onus is on you to acquire any related permission. Send me a link to your patch so I can add it to compatible mod list.
Download the resource from download page and be sure to read the README.
Hey Fhaarkas. I'm with new information regarding the issue in the sticky post. I've edited my posts so everyone may get the updated information.
I've included the first version of that fix into my Dear Diary DM mod. And some users noticed a new issue. When you cast any spell with restricted use area while sneaking, the crosshair will disappear. It happens with presets where the sneak indicator is moved from the center of the screen. This issue does not appear if you have iHUD installed, and that's why nobody noticed it to this point, I think. Here's a new updated fix (already included in latest Dear Diary DM version): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fT18U0o8u6uySCDBRBKjTCpeVDjCbcUZ/view?usp=sharing What I did:
Spoiler:
Show
1. In the function ValidateCrosshair() i've replaced the SetModes() call with ForceCrosshairConfig(). 2. In the function onEnterFrame() i've added the ValidateCrosshair() call. Now both issues resolved (AMoT/Frostfall/etc widgets stuck and crosshair disappearing).
Hey, this is awesome news, thanks a lot man. I'll sticky this post for now and try to find some time - or more like motivation - to test and push a fix for this bug. By the way are you interested in joining this mod's team of one as a dev? Unless somebody else decides to further develop it it's mostly just in maintenance mode now so I don't imagine there would be much work to do aside from hunting bugs and maybe do that esl stuff.
And I think this particular bug is the last one that's critical. For the longest time I just have no idea what to do about it so I gotta thank you again.
i previously edited the text file to make the quest markers show me locations instead of quests and i wanna set it back to show me quests again but i forgot how i did that could anyone here please help me thanks
Same problem, using MO2 and Skyrim AE, also SkyUI, which is actually working fine. I installed this mod using MO2, but I see no changes when I load up the game.
What solved this issue for me was using julianoramalho's fix posted below:
""Incompatible SkyHUD config detected SKYHUD.TXT may be outdated, corrupt or missing. please update or reinstall your config file. For more info, see SkyHUD mod page.""
download the manual mod and extract the .rar file, open the 03SkyHUD folder, copy the "interface" folder and paste it in \Skyrim Special Edition\Data data folder, where you installed your game, it fixed the problem for me who installed the mod by vortex
I'm assuming you just grab the preset you'd want if not the 03SkyHUD version. I also had to do this manual extraction to get EdgeUI to work. I'm probably just not using MO2 correctly, but I wasn't able to get these HUD mods to install properly from it otherwise.
Why is my hud kinda shrunken like its for wide screen, its hard to read. please someone help me fix this. i want it back to 16:9 (even though that's what i selected in the first place

Yep works but I would recommend making a new archive with just this to add to your mod manger so you can easily remove it if you need to instead of just adding it to the data folder. Still will work both ways
Para aqueles que desinstalaram e continua aparecendo essa mensagem, é só reinstalar o NORDIC UI e desmarcar a opção do SkyHud. For those who uninstalled and this message continues to appear, just reinstall NORDIC UI and uncheck the SkyHud option.
When I tried to paste it into the the data folder I got an error code 0x80004005 what does that mean? I downloaded the latest version. This is getting so frustrating and I wish it just worked like it's supposed to.
Absolute chad, thank you for this! And to anyone who might be reading this, my interface folder was where it needed to be but it didn't have the skyhud.txt file so I downloaded the manual file (not the update file) extracted the skyhud.txt to the skyhud folder that is inside the interface folder.
For MO2 users: If anyone has problem extracting directly from the zipped interface file to the main Skyrim data folder, you can right click>reveal in explorer the txt file found under the data tab on the right-hand side of Mod Organizer 2. (You have to install it first through MO2.)
Boa sorte!
for mo2 users, i recommend you to copy the directory into the skyhud directory that's managed by mo2 for example, in linux, i did this cp -r ~/Downloads/skyrimmods/test/SkyHUD\ v090B\ v4-463-0-90B/03\ SkyHUD/interface /mnt/E/system\ files\(E\)/MO2/mods/SkyHUD/
the windows equivalent would be to copy the the interface dir, then go to the mo2 dir, then find mods dir, then find skyhud dir, then paste
Ok, i installed the mod, my crosshair, compass, healt/stamina/magic just dissapear, they only show healt/stamina/magic when i sprint, use magic, get attacked. So the hud is still there but there's something is missing and that's a toggle key to bring back.
Also i try too uninstall the mod and the problem is still there.
That is, AFAIK (been awhile since I've played Vanilla), the default setting for the Skyrim Hud. The health, stamina and magicka bars only appear when being used, EG shooting off a fireball spell, and disappear when they fill back up and are not in use. You could try grabbing another mod that adds a toggle to turn it on and off, I'd recommend Immersive Hud, there's a link in the description of this mod's page. Hope this was somewhat helpful :)
I'm using this mod, it's great, but I have a question:
When I like to take a screenshot, is it a way to disable (hide) the UI somehow? (I know how to do it via console, I'm just asking if I can via this mod).
Bug Fix for "moreHUD" Icon Placement with "SkyHUD" and "Better Third Person Selection - BTPS"
When using the following mods: "moreHUD," "SkyHUD," and "Better Third Person Selection - BTPS" you may encounter a bug with the positioning of the "moreHUD" icons (for example, the eye icon indicating that a book has been read), as shown in the images below:
I'm not an expert in modding, and I'm not sure exactly which mod triggers the issue, but the solution I found is as follows:
In the customization file of "SkyHUD" (skyhud.txt), set the value of "fActivatePrompt" to 1. This ensures that the icons are positioned correctly.
From what I gathered, it seems that the position of these "moreHUD" elements is influenced by the settings of "SkyHUD," which are partially overridden by settings from "Better Third Person Selection - BTPS."

With 21:9 displays, the dialog is pretty damn far off to the side

(I know how to do it via console, I'm just asking if I can via this mod).
I've tried all the tweaks in the Included txt file But I just can't seem to get rid of them.
"Compass bHideEnemyHealth=" Under Compass : I've tried "1,2 & 0"
I've tried Adding the "bHideEnemyHealth" line Under [Gameplay] and also "1,2 & 0" But to no avail.
If anyone has any advice to Remove the Enemy Healthbars I'd greatly appreciate it!
