The tracks are highly unlikely to be leveled with each other. You can fix this with some effort. From my Fallout 4 mod:
Spoiler:
Show
If you want to lower the volume of most of the tracks to more closely match vanilla volume, you'll need a few things.
First, download Audacity. While you're at it, download the LAME and FFmpeg encoders and libraries.
Next, you'll want to grab MultiXWM to convert files back to XWM to save space.
Audacity can read XWM files as long as the aforementioned libraries are installed. Click and drag them into Audacity. Give it a bit and it'll load in all tracks and show you waveforms. Do not play them unless you have one selected to play solo, otherwise you'll get blasted with extremely loud sounds.
Now you'll want to normalize them if they're too loud, or even too soft. You'll need to select all the tracks that you want to have a volume change. Once you've done that, at the top bar, click Effect, then click Normalize... Leave all the tick boxes alone, I don't know of any benefits or disadvantages of changing them. What you'll need to change is the "Normalize maximum amplitude to" line. What I've found to be the best setting for that is to change it to -7.0dB for most tracks. Some may need a lower number like -10.0dB or maybe -9.0dB. That'll be up to you.
After setting the volume you'll want all tracks to normalize to, click OK. It'll normalize all tracks you selected to the maximum volume you set. Once that's done, you'll need to export the tracks. To do that, click File at the top, then click Export, then click Export Multiple...
You may use a WAV format, but please note that the very long tracks sometimes may not be converted back to XWM. To remedy this, you may instead export as WMA. This takes a bit longer, but guarantees the ability to convert them to XWM.
After Audacity is done exporting, convert them back to XWM format using MultiXWM, then place the music tracks back in the folder they came from.

I have provided a short clip on how to extract the BSA via MO2 from any mod that includes one. You can simply delete the BSA afterwards if you don't just want it hidden. What I didn't show is hiding the plugin, you'll need to do that for any plugins that aren't mine.
Offering a suggestion here for people to make their lives 1000x easier when it comes to extracting the BSA files with Mod Organizer 2 (which most of you are more than likely using, and if you are using Vortex, do yourself a favor and switch.)
Mod Organizer 2 actually has built in BSA extraction functionality built in beyond what is shown in IAreBob's stickied video. When this feature is enabled, it will prompt you during each mods installation (that has a BSA) if you would like to extract the files from the BSA at the end of the install into MO2. Selecting yes will extract the files prior to the end of the install and automatically delete the BSA file. You can even perform this step on mods you have already installed by right clicking on the mod in your list and selecting Reinstall Mod.
To enable this self-extracting feature, open the Mod Organizer 2 settings by doing the following:
Either click on Tools > Settings from the menu, or click the gear icon on the top bar, to open the settings window.
Click on the Plugins tab at the top.
In the left-side pane, scroll down until you see the section labeled Plugin (right after Installer section and before Preview section.)
Click on BSA Extractor under the Plugin section.
In the right-side pane, where it says "only_alternate_source false"double-click on false and change it to true.
Click OK.
Now, when you install a mod that contains a BSA, you will get the following prompt:
By clicking Yes, the BSA will extract, the plugin will delete the BSA related files (including BSL files) and finish the install. You may need to click Refresh in MO2 for the the proper content icons to show instead of the chest icon for archives (if you have the Content header section enabled that is). Selecting No will, of course, install the mod as normal with the BSA intact and no extraction.
If you do not like having this feature being enabled for all your installs, you can simply follow the steps above and change the false setting back to true in step 5.
I have heard murmurs from people here and there that they don't recommend doing extractions this way. But this is how Lexy's LOTD and the LOTD+ guides instruct people to do their extractions. They have a LARGE community of knowledgeable people whom I trust. It's how I have been doing mine for quite some time now and never once ran across an issue. I suppose if the BSA is extraordinarily large it MIGHT have an issue, but I have extracted many with this method and it's been fine. It will save you a lot of extra steps over using the BSA Extractor or the manual MO2 archive manager method.
hey guys just to confirm, I simply install the music mods i want to use, extract/hide the bsa, then install this mod and voila? sorry for the noob question T-T
Tried going through all the comments but couldn't find the answer I was looking for so I figured I'd ask! For CH II, after I extract the BSA files, where should I then put those files? Should it go in into a folder in data/music like many of the other mods or should they stay in the CH II mod folder itself?
I've tried to read through 500 posts but not finding an answer so I figured to ask it straight out.
I'm part way through and have noticed some apps have odd subfolders, an example is Celtic Music main file which has it's music in subfolders which seem to use version names.
Do I need to transfer these files around to the base MUSIC folder or is your .esp expecting to find these things in their ORIGINAL subfolder as the author wrote it?
This might be a stupid question but do I first download this mod and then follow the other instruction? Also, do I load it after the other mods in the order?
Do I understand correctly, that I can ignore some mods, for example, oblivion and morrowind soundtracks? I don't have these games and I don't really want to bother.
very great! just I started to have Vindsvept Dungeon - All and dwemer folders. It is not bad music but I would put it only in the college of winterhold, maybe in the snow elfs ruins areas, instead I ear them really too often. Also the ones from Atmospheric Lore-Friendly Soundtrack too often in dungeons. I prefer more Yggdrasil there. It's very cool you don't need to use all the supported mods, so I will just remove those tracks I guess, maybe one day I will learn how to put each where I want :P maybe it's enough to put them in the college folder?
