That doesn't look like blended roads is actually working at all. Always have blended roads load after mods. Have patches after blended roads. Never load anything after blended roads what would change road textures or revert them back to normal/ change something and overwrite blended roads.
Sorry if this is an old problem but should someone else have this issue I figure I'd pop in with an answer.
Great idea in theory, but it's a bit out of date now. Not trying to put a downer on the mod/effort here, but rather users should be advised that a number of meshes in these patches are probably outdated. There are several meshes in Assorted Mesh fixes that are updated and conflicting, so you probably don't want to overwrite them, for example.
For the rest of y'all out there, I went with SMIM>SMIM Misc Fixes>SMIM QA>Assorted Fixes (and a few of his other great mods)>SMIM-IM. A few others in between like the solitude fixes and blackreach mushrooms, among others I found that don't appear to be conflicting. SMIM-IM last and now I'm gonna dump ELFX and some Wiz mods on top of that and call it a day :D
Yeah as linked above, it's another major improvement to SMIM.
Note that I did not install DLizzio's at all, too many unknown conflicts (and I believe they are all vanilla focused anyway) and I also installed Ruin's clutter mods after the first batch of SMIM + mods, but not before SMIM-IM. If using Nordic (or any texture mod really), there's a fix for Ruin's that fixes a couple texture paths so textures will take effect: Ruins Clutter Improved - Fixes at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
Maybe one day we get a cohesive package or something, but for now that was the best I could determine without actually having to open up many meshes and compare physically.
Wish I saw this an hour ago... I've been pulling my hair out sorting conflicts here. So... just so I understand correctly, I don't really need this or DLizzio's at all? Also... SMIM-IM apparently has issues with rabbit ears and eyes according to the comments on the mod page. Is that actually a thing?
It shouldn’t matter, unless the mesh mod overwrites a vanilla texture with a non-vanilla texture design. Most mod authors know better than to do this and will instead create new filepaths for such textures so they don’t overwrite anything.
some of them are still relevant. assorted mesh fixes and landscape and water fixes both have detailed changelogs, and you can check if the mesh has been updated since the patch was made. also, smim quality addon should overwrite unofficial material fix, and blended roads should overwrite assorted mesh fixes. both are older than the patches here, so they are automatically worth using unless another mod overwrites them. may as well ctrl f search for the meshes in the respective changelogs if it really matters to you
Thank you! Slowly got a headache from all those conflicts.
However, like @Queli already mentioned, correct load order should be:
SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement Mod)
Unofficial Material Fix
SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement Mod) - Quality Add-on by Pfuscher
SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement Mod) - Improvement Mod
Assorted Mesh Fixes
Blended Roads
High Poly Project
Rudy HQ - Miscellaneous SE
See SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement Mod) - Improvement Mod for load order suggestion on Unofficial Material Fix and Quality Add-on. Also load order for Quality Addon and UMF is more of a personal choice. Pfuscher said on his Quality Add-on mod page:
So I have the Skyrim Particle Patch for ENB and Assorted Mesh Fixes but not Solitude Mesh Fixes Patch, should I still download the patch for the particle patch even though I don't have the third mod? Sorry if this is something obvious I'm not that well versed when it comes to modding.
Using A collection of mesh patches by Andrias Bartlett at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) following most of the included installation order plus all other stuff i use i found i might miss Assorted Mesh Fixes - SMIM - Really Blended Roads Patch. So i just installed it. Not sure what it did but it just works and my Obssesive Compulsive Dissorder is completely satisfied so i'll just keep it. Fixed Mesh Lighting on top is the last part after i am done with some textures.

Here's a video in vanilla SSE with the flicker.

I was hoping the blended roads SMIM Really Blended Roads patch would help but it doesn't.
Anyone seen a fix for this?
THANKS

one quick question: what is SMIM-IM ? That's the only acronym i didn't know here LOL

Currently this is how I have it

Where should "ELFX Shadow"/"Embers XD"/"ENB Light" be placed generally?
