New update for Zim's Improved Dremora (2.4) dude. New version looks cool, may need to update you patch.

This update got me wondering - any chance of a patch that works with SkyTEST Redux, not just the original SkyTEST ?

Uh.... a 3 way patch between Zim's Improved Dremora, NARC (which flavor?), and SkyTEST Redux?
Or is there a NARC - SkyTEST-R patch already somewhere?

NARC Remade has a SkyTest Redux patch. Could probably use that as a base.

Yep, there's one already bundled one in this mod's latest version 🥳

But isn't that for Skytest, not the redux version?

And given the esp name for Skytest redux is different, your patch doesn't detect it as a master.

Also, this is actually a bit tricky, because what complicates the matter is how you install NARC RE. NARC RE has an option to install for Falskaar, SkyTEST, or both. It doesn't have an option for SkyTEST redux or a combo of SkyTEST redux and Falskaar. This actually makes patching a complete mess.

Yep, you're right. I got confused and thought of the "re" was for NARC remade, instead of SkyTEST redux.

Honestly, the naming convention for these mods leaves a lot to be desired... they could be modular, rather than all-in-one, with names for the add-ons they cover, and that would greatly simplify patching.

In any case, the modifications for NARC for SkyTEST are minimal, with just one record getting a bunch of flags ticked on. Concretely, DLC2DremoraMerchantFaction [FACT:0401EEC4] gets Ignore:Crimes for Murder, Assault, Stealing, Trespass, Pickpocket, Werewolf; I would assume a patch for NARC for SkyTEST Redux would be essentially the same. I'll try to take a look at it, but I'm super weary of rebuilding my load order at the moment (cuz I just finished lol)

What I did was install NARC RE for Vanilla, then used this mod's NARC patch as a base, then forwarded all the Falskaar changes into that plugin. Waiting to see if mod author will let me share it on their page. I then used this Falskaar SkyTEST patch separately. Should work...fingers crossed.

Really should have made Falskaar a separate patch, not a base.

If you want someone else's eyes to go over it, feel free to PM it to me and I'll take a look (I won't share it). I know when looking over plugins over and over again, one starts hallucinating what one thinks it says, rather than what it actually says...

Zim's Improved Dremora updated again! I don't think anything in the update is relevant to NARC but your USSEP patch may need updating.

Thanks for the notice! Both patches should remain valid; Zim's update appears to have been only about meshes & textures.

      Yes.

However as NARC is using some kind of monolithic build (rather than modular) and using unique names for the various plugins they offer (e.g. "NARC SE for Animal Tweaks and Falskaar.esp"), this patch needs to offer plugins whose masters will match all those names, 6 so far. The new update (v1.1) offers a FOMOD that should detect which one you've got installed, and offer only the appropriate patch from this mod.

This said, the plugin's content itself hasn't changed, so unless you've installed any of the NARC flavors, updating is not required.

If there's weird behavior in the FOMOD, do let me know.
