The Sons and Daughters of Skyrim stand valiant under the flag of the great bear. However, this army of "Nord warriors" is a laughable excuse, fully clad in pelts and rags, and appearing weak compared to the distinctive Imperial Legion, in their gleaming plate armour. This will all change.Ulfric Stormcloak, the mighty king and warlord and the leader of the Stormcloaks, has recently uncovered a vast mine of the finest quicksilver within the tombs of the Palace of the Kings. The spirits of his Nordic ancestors spoke to him within the tomb, offering to him the legendary ore in order to forge armor to outfit the great warriors who fight for Skyrim's independence.

Employing Oengul War-Anvil to forge the armors, the Stormcloak army is no longer a force to shrug off. They are now the true Nord warriors that they always should have been.

What this mod does:

This mod completely removes the base Stormcloak armor set from the game and replaces it with the Nordic Carved Armor set, an epic bear-styled armor fit for the heroes of Skyrim which was criminally underutilized in my opinion. There is also now an identical set of armor, the Stormcloak set - including a shield. Every single Stormcloak soldier and guard will now wear the set, as a true Nord should. Guards from both Stormcloak and Imperial aligned holds will now wear Nordic boots and gauntlets, considering all hold guards are Nords.

Skyrim belongs to the Nords, after all, and a bunch of farmers wearing blue pelts are not even close to representing the strength of this epic race of men.

Stormcloak officers remain unchanged, as their armor is quite fitting as is. High King Ulfric Stormcloak remains unchanged, as he already looks heroic and imposing with his gothic raven cloak and chainmail.

This mod uses no external assets and is completely vanilla friendly, and lore-friendly as well.

-Added an Amulet of Talos to Gunjar's body in Helgen Keep
-Added an Ancient Nord Helmet to Gunjar's body to be worn by the Dragonborn, also increased stats of helmet to match Nordic Carved helm
-New backstory for Gunjar, now known as War Chief Gunjar. He was the mentor and older brother figure to Ralof and was the one who inducted him into the Stormcloaks. Recommended complementary mod - Stormlord Armor by Christian Paskota
