NSF log means you have 1.5.97, but I can't reproduce the CTD on my 1.5.97 and MCM Helper 1.4.0. This version of Alternate Obsidian Weathers MCM was implemented when MCM Helper 1.4.0 was already released and installed in my mods list. Can you provide the full log using Pastebin maybe?
The option to remove the config spell seems to fail on game start, this is likely because obsidian weathers quests take a bit to fire in a modded environment perhaps add an option to set a delay
No idea, sorry, there is nothing CTD-related in this mod imo. You can check NET Script Framework log if you have its logging enabled to troubleshoot this case more effectively.

I always have used this.. Its great However; I fell upon this tonight and not looking for it tbh... Uh yes, it seems to be a error, but it's not a problem because this MCM should not have any additional pages, but only title page with all options. I will fix this residual edit as soon as I'm free from my business.
