Changelogs
Version 1.0
- Initial release.
The Scare my Enemy radiant quest can be triggered whenever you hit or "assault" someone. Using mods like Missives (by IronDusk33), which has the option for you to track down and kill undercover vampires and fugitives that often sandbox in city inns, can mean that this quest has a high possibility of being triggered.
The bug in question is that the quest objective will remain forever in your journal if you turn down the NPC's violent proposition. Console commands like "setstage" or "CompleteAllObjectives" do not remove the quest objective. USLEEP/USSEP have addressed this bug for when you accept and follow through with the request, but not for if you refuse it. For anyone role-playing a character that is morally good or pacifist, this presents a frustrating dilemma between doing something out of character or having something perpetually stuck in your quest journal.
The mod fixes this as it's an altered script fragment for the refusal dialogue option that completes the misc. objective and ends the quest.
NB: the fix isn't retroactive. If you've already encountered this bug then that save's quest journal will forever be plagued by the misc. objective. This only works on saves that haven't encountered this bug yet.
