About this mod

This mod adds three safes to the Sleeping Giant Inn. They contain 10 of each armor of the Volkihar and the Dawnguard - all in Heavy, Light, and Clothing versions. If it has an default enchantment, there are variants of all 3 that have no enchantment (meaning you can enchant them).

This mod adds three safes to the Sleeping Giant Inn: one contains 10 of each armor of both Volkihar and Dawnguard Armor of all three variants (Heavy, Light, and Clothing), while one contains 10 of each armor of only Volkihar Armor of all 3 variants and the other contains 10 of each armor of only Dawnguard Armor of all 3 variants. There is no lock on any of the safes and they all belong to the player so they are free (won’t be counted as stealing). The safes are set to respawn, so check back in more than 3 game days. I have not changed the vanilla stats at all except clothing. If the vanilla armor has an enchantment on it, I made a version with no enchantments on it in all 3 variants (therefore you can enchant those with whatever you want). I also gave the Vampire Royal Armor Enchantment to the 3 variants of the Vampire Lord Armor (the vanilla Vampire Lord Armor has no enchantment on it). I also added both a 40% sneak increase enchanted version of all 3 variants of vampire boots and added a muffle enchanted version of all 3 variants (Wearer is muffled and moves silently).

The Dawnguard item variants that were once unechantable have now been made enchantable.

You can now sell all my mod's custom items to a clothing merchant (a merchant that doesn't accept armor but only clothing - like Radiant Raiment. I know because I once tried to sell them some armor and I ended up going to the Solitude blacksmith instead).

I didn't make a copy unique to the mod that is exactly the same as the vanilla armor, I just put the vanilla armor of Volkihar and Dawnguard in the safes (base game no mods vanilla armor). So if you see a light red vampire armor or a heavy Dawnguard full helm, that's the original vanilla. You can tell the difference in the pictures because I have 40 of each of the vanilla in my inventory and 20 of each of the mod's armors in my inventory. There is 10 of each vanilla armor and the mod's armor in all 3 safes so the most you can get of both Volkihar and Dawnguard is 20 total (If you take all from all 3 safes)

The armors are all independent to the mod (standalone I think is the proper term but don't quote me) so it should be very bug free and they are completely separate from the vanilla armors (I duplicated the originals and then took the duplicated version and changed it with a different ID making a new armor and I deleted the duplicate leaving the vanilla armors and the different unique-to-the-mod versions separate).

I remember back before Skyrim Special Edition, there was a mod on the Skyrim nexus page that changed Morvath's boots from the vanilla look of hide boots to the Dawnguard vampire boots (as Morvath is a vampire). Bethesda made vampire boots for the Dawnguard DLC but they never changed Morvath's Boots to look like vampire boots when you got the Dawnguard DLC. They just looked like hide boots. Morvath's boots have a sneak enchantment on them.

Remembering that mod, I added both a 40% sneak increase enchanted version of all 3 variants of vampire boots and added a muffle enchanted version of all 3 variants (Wearer is muffled and moves silently).

I put 10 of each armor in the safes because if I put only one and you wore one of them, you wouldn’t have an extra for other uses in your inventory. So now you have enough to wear, give to your follower, sell, put on display in your house, and even throw away with 5 left over afterward.

The clothing variants do not have an armor rating, because if they did, it might break your game or at least give you bugs. I also have not changed the names except saying which type of the 3 variants it is. If the game called it heavy but the type is light, then I kept the original name and added the type afterward. (Hence the name: Dawnguard Heavy Armorlight). I haven’t added them to shopkeepers, as if you have mod that adds items or changes the frequency or anything to the shopkeeper’s inventory, it would break your game. But I didn’t, so it won’t break your game. I haven’t added them to be worn by the vampire and Dawnguard NPCs as if you have a mod that adds or changes the armor worn by NPCs, it would break your game. But I didn’t, so it won’t break your game.

Since there are 2 color variants for the Dawnguard Heavy and 3 color variants for the Dawnguard Light, that makes a total of 5 different variants for the Dawnguard Armor. To help you tell the difference between which color is which on what armor, I added numbers at the end of them. I did not add numbers for the Vampire Armor, as there are only 3 color variants and they are easy to tell the difference.

I won’t make any promises but I will try to make these craftable.

When I first made this mod, I included 3 variants of Valerica’s unique armor but when I played the game I could not understand why there was an extra set of Vampire Royal Armor in the safe. Then I realized that Valerica’s purple tinted vampire armor only shows up if the player character is a female. My character is male and I’m a male too. Otherwise, it just changes to the default version of the Vampire Royal Armor for males. And since Valerica is a female and Bethesda Game studios did not intend for the player to have access to Valerica’s armor and therefore only Valerica was supposed to wear it, they only made Valerica’s armor purple tinted for female and left the male version of Valerica's armor as the default Vampire Royal Armor for males. So, if you are a female, you can use Valerica’s purple tinted version of armor. If not, you’ll get what I got: confusion.

This mod now has above said option for females.

You may ask, why bother putting the Vampire Lord Armor if the Vampire Royal Armor look exactly the same? Simple. The player character is not royalty until you download a mod and officially marry Serana in the Temple of Mara in Riften with the wedding ceremony and everything. Cause Serana is royalty. She's a princess! (She is a princess because Harkon is a king - was, cause he's dead now.) So, I never wore the Vampire Royal Armor until I had finished Kindred Judgement and married Serana as described above. Then I had the pleasure and satisfaction of putting it on. For any of you who want to do this too, I added the 3 variants (as some might want a Heavy version or a Light Version instead of the default clothing). I also added 3 variants with the same enchantment that is on the Vampire Royal Armor (Magicka regenerates 125% faster).

If you notice a mistake please comment in the posts section (I hardly check emails but if I don't respond in a couple days try to email me).
