Karinda was originally to be used as a pet of Balgruuf's daughter Dagny, as part of 'The Whispering Door' quest. However she was eventually removed, along with other portions of this questline.
She has now made a return and can be found waiting in Solstheim at the Raven Rock docks.
Karinda is essential, therefore cannot die. She also will not attack enemies as well as go back to Skyrim with you.
Karinda's base texture is the same colour as the Whiterun Stables horses. Any horse textures which change the Whiterun horses will likely change Karinda's colour as well.
There are no requirements for getting Karinda - she is free and can be obtained as soon as you step off the boat at Raven Rock.
Karinda should be compatible with most mods, but if you do find any it conflicts with, or any issues at all, please let me know.
*I've been told 'Cutting Room Floor' adds Karinda to the Whiterun Stables so there may be possible conflicts with that one.*
