    UPDATE 3.1 RELEASED

The last planned update for Caranthir Tower Reborn is now out for Special Edition after it spent approximately a month in BETA for legacy. Everything should now be fully functional in regards to dark magic and some other bugs have been ironed out. If there are any remaining issues, feel free to post them in the bug reports section, however I'm unsure as to how long it would be before I attempt to correct any outstanding issues. To be perfectly honest, I've poured my heart and soul into this project over the years and it's time for me to move on from this mod. It's simply not fun to mod Caranthir Tower anymore. It is in fact a chore at this point.

I would like to thank everyone for their continued support, especially those donating to me on Patreon as your pledges help fund my future modding endeavors.

I accidentally put Dawnbringer into the sorting chest, and it ended up on display in the Mage's Quarters.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it back. When I mouse over it, the sword's name doesn't show.It just looks like a floating piece of the background. Any ideas?

I have yet to test out the sorting chest, but can you retrieve it from there instead?

Ok, it looks like you can't retrieve from the chest. What you may end up having to do is use the TCL command, to disable collision, so you can inch closer to it and interact with it. That happens commonly, if a weapon or shield plaque sits a bit too close to the wall.

It's not hard work if I enjoy creating it.

Modding is now something I do between work and when I'm not doing anything else. I wouldn't still be modding if I didn't enjoy it but at the same time, I'm not going to go back and updated old outdated versions of mods and sit there fixing bugs and add new features because people like the original commentor on this conversation string think I should. Modders have no obligation to update or fix their mods. It's a user's decision to download it and a user's responsibility to check it over and make sure it works with their mod setup.

I'm not actively working on this project now but there is a new version in the works. I've just not officially announced it as it may never happen, especially if I get bored of modding it.

I was planning on including this version in my soon to be released public guide (october release) do you suggest I hold off for the reborn reborn edition?

Any new version of this mod could take a year or more and may never happen. No need to hold off.

This is a mod I classify as essential and I have played through it numerous times on Oldrim.

I'm doing a playthrough on SSE now, so I am familiar with most everything...however, this time I did something a bit different. I pushed off searching for the Ayleid Coins until after I focused on restoring the tower. Now I am 3 coins short.

I'm not 100% certain, but in the SSE, if you didn't grab the three from the shelf in the Vault prior to restoration, do they no longer move to the top of a barrel? I turned off collision and looked in the barrels and even under them, but they are not visible.

The Lava Whiskey was floating in midair after the vault restoration, so I know it didn't disappear.

And yes, I got the ones outside of the tower and on the balcony, so I know it isn't those...

Also, does anyone have the final breakdown of the new coins? They were all just Ayleid coins in Oldrim, but in SSE, there are Lava and others. Would love to see a numeric breakdown.

Let me reiterate, this mod is perfection. It works as intended (especially in Oldrim); any problems are typically caused by other mods.

I did notice a couple of things different in the SSE version (could not tell you why): 1) the tower does not "rise up out of the ground," but just appears via fade-in after I defeated the dragon and 2) the ghost does not light the lobby as before. I had to do it myself. Not a problem; but don't know if a script didn't fire. Curious if anyone else experienced this.

I'm on my second play through with this. It rose from the ground, and the ghost hit the lobby braziers, both times.

Not sure about the coins. I didn't even think about hunting them all down, just figured I'd discover them at some point.

Yeah, I wondered if it was something with my current setup causing scripts not to fire properly...

It should be outside, up on the platform where you first put the sword, in order to reveal the entrance.

    Hello ..
In case I missed reading it somehwere , can someone please tell me what does the conjuration sigil do in the mages room, If I click on it, it'll make a sounds then nothing is changed or does anything , so I'm guessing it still needs something done or some sort of a trigger ??
    Thanks

Is there a place in the tower to store the Paragon items from Dawnguard? There is a place for the Elder SCrolls, and Claws, and Masks

There is a spot for paragons, but I don't recall which floor it's on. You should be able to put them in the sorting chest, though, and have them land where they need to be.

Beautiful and amazing mod ! But I have one problem...
After installing the mod, I do all for build the interior totally and when I see the Ayleis coins I take them but no more. And finally I search them and... I miss 8 of them ! I see the tutorial video for, but I don't found these coins, I think they are foundable BEFORE the restoration and not after. But I don't want to all remake from 0, this take me a lot of time ! It's a solution for my problem, or do I have to run from 0 ?
    Thanks you

(PS: and I'm sorry if my english is not very good, I'm french)

This mod was really challenging... I cheated through 90% of it via videos and console commands...
    That said, it is AMAZING!

I really wish you, or another modder would steal your ambulatory portal's feature and make a separate configurable mod for it! (Preferably one that does not need a charging system!)
So many times have I been in the Luxury Suite and wanted to port back to CTR without having to equip the spell and vice versa! That or an easy way to register the CTR as an actual player home in Luxury Suite!
As much as I love CTR as my main player home, I really like the Luxury Suite as my NPC home!

So wait... if the "antidote" to the dark magic scroll doesn't cure the affliction, and your character is just ruined forever, why have the antidote in the first place? Initially I thought that surviving a number of days would cure me, and my alteration skill kept increasing all the way to 100, so it felt like i was on the right track

Why not omit the antidote entirely, mention that your fate is decided the moment the spell is cast, and have some grim message about realizing your fate is sealed or something at the end of stage 1?

Other than that, i've greatly enjoyed the mod. I wish still life puzzle mods were more common. It's kind of like a point and click adventure combined with the old wizard tower mods for morrowind, like tel uvirith.
