I literally removed all the mods and left BFS. Still nothing.

Question is it works on version 1.5.9.7 se? If anyone had a similar case, please share :(

it works on my pc with this version without a glitch so it must be a problem connected with your individual setup. what do you exactly mean with it work on enemy but not on pc ? maybe something wrong with your mcm menu settings ?

This means that you can see the effect of the spell on your opponents. There is no effect on the player :P

I will add that I do not use additional mods that change magics etc. So it's hard for me to tell why it doesn't work on the player.
in mcm I have everything marked 100%

as far as i know it never worked on the player since the le version. this not a bug, it was never implemented at all. correct me if you can show me where this feature was mentioned for this mod. there is also no mcm option for this and never was.

Everything works fine except frozen effect. Maybe I did something wrong? I tested with USSEP, SkyUI, HideSkyUI, Survival Mode Settings and Skyrim Unbound Reborn. Any advice?

Nvm, I just increase the value from 5% to 100%. It works like a charm!

Hey Mate , First of all thank you for the mod , it work like a charm for me . On Anniversary Editon Latest version from January so thanks a lot , it's similar to FEC But it's more compatible . FEC is Broken Since the last bugthesda Anniversary  patch so , it's a good alternative . u get Endorsed of course .

If anyone else is running Ordinator, I recommend picking up the Perk fix from FEC as well. Removes that annoying ash effect. If you already took the perk and install the fix, you'll have to rollback your save to before when you had the perk.

thanks for that info. i can not recommend ordinator. it is always a huge risk for quality and functionality  of textures doing mass conversion with it.
performance problems (except for rusty rigs) are mostly generated by configuration errors and draw call problems, not by texture size.

    For people using certain ENBs:
To remove the black pixel marks showing up on burned bodies, use SSEEdit to change the "Edge Effect - Fall Off" value from 0.000000 to 1.000000 in the zBFSBurnedEffectShader (XX01BC3B).

For frozen bodies, also change the value in zBFSFreezedEffectShaderInstant (XX025875).

Hi, will you make a version of this patch for Skyrim Anniversary Edition? Or should this version work already?

i would say it should work as scripts and almost everything with no special dependencies still should work. if you encounter any problems (mcm menu?) let me know. thanks.

Don't know if you are still on here but do you think this will work for the VR version? I may try but perhaps I can hear from you before I do.

only a vr user as tester can give the answer. so i would be thankful if you do. i don't know. i do not own a vr version.

Yes works great.  What we need now is a texture specialist to create higher res with glowmaps etc

I tried this and it doesn't work, not sure if I did it correctly tho, I find the instructions to be pretty unclear. I'm using MO2 so I installed BFSE from oldrim with it, choosing loose file as instructed. Then I opened the mod folder in explorer and created a source folder in it. I then copied and pasted the content of "scripts" in it, leaving the original script folder untouched. I put the BFSEffect.esp pretty low in my load ordrer to avoid conflict, but when i test it in my game nothing happens to the corprses. I'm using quite a lot of magic mods and overhauls, but i tested with the simple flames spell from the base game and no effect when killing a normal human npc.

you did everything as you should and there you be no conflict. if there is a conflict let bfs win or deactivate other conflicting mods to test.
it should work as it did for 21 people who endorsed and me ;).
it does not change a corpse every time to a burned corpse same like the original. statistcally about every 3rd corpse. but it should show some burning/fire and smoke effect.

I don't see any effect so I don't know what the problem might be here.

if you don' see any effect you can be sure components of this mod are overwritten by or conflicting with another mod or it is not installed correctly. works flawless for me. the mod manager should show these conflicts. do you see the mcm menu as in my mod image and checked options ?

There was no conflict. But anyway, I just reactivated the mod that I left uncheked for a while after my first testing. And now the MCM menu magically appearead when I load my game... Go figure.
I still don't see any smoke, but the freeeze effect just appeared even tho I noticed some small black texture flickering. Don't know if it's normal from the original mod.

Anyway, thanks for your help, it seems to be working as intended. Endorsed.

thanks for feedback. if you see black texture flickering intstead of  smoke i suggest that there is a problem with some shaders or smoke effects (seems to an enb). i do not have this problem. there is a hint further down for people who use special enb and encounter your problem.

This is a completely wrong instruction. You cannot put working scripts in the source folder. The game will not see them. They should be in the scripts folder.
