I'm on skyrim 1.5.9 and had a creature freeze (no ctd but still crashed to unresponsive with no logs or anything, requires task manager to close it) but because of the way the scripts work it auto loads immediately after starting loading or starting a new game causing the same issue again, even disabling it and opening a new game and then renabling it doesn't stops the cycle
is there anyway to find what spawns because at the minute it's kinda useless i'm working blind on this issue.
ive spent an hour trying to get this to work and i know nobody will answer this thread..
my issue is that the StorageUtilData folder does not exist i can not get it to appear in my override folder I've tried everything if someone has the same issue good luck maybe one day someone can answer this comment and help me solve the problem im just getting frustrated if i get it to work ill edit the post but if I don't edit I gave up.
Edit: Deleted the mod no fix for this issue found out its PapyrusUtil SE at the time of writing this it is not compatable with AE 1.6.6.
This works fine on SE 1170. It appears as though I have a problem with a location as the test crashed at tamriel/5/-25. No idea how to troubleshoot it though. Anyone know what steps to take with the information produced in the Status report? Also, I saw a frequent message: Clean Memory with PCB. Any help would be appreciated.
I made a quick video showing people how to get this setup and running. Hope this helps answer a bunch of the basic questions I had myself and I see here on this forum.
I've also discovered that Autotest will not generate tests from the pillar in the testhall if you have Campfire loaded. This campfire -> https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/667?tab=description
To get things working in game I used the following procedure.
1.) Run Skyrim, get to the title screen, and enter "coc autotest_testhall" in the console. Once you load into the cell activate the pillar and select "Register Tests". This will load the three .json files in your StorageUtilData file. At this point I save and exit the game.
2.) Next you need to select which of the three tests you want to run by deleting the other two .json files. Don't worry, you can always regenerate them by repeating the step above. These files will contain "autotest" in their names. a.) Open windows file explorer, navigate to your Skyrim install folder (for example: E:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition). b.) Open Data folder -> skse -> plugins -> StorageUtilData c.) It is EXTREMELY important that you only delete .json files from the Auto Test mod. Other mods will put other .json files in StorageUtilData, and you do NOT want to delete those other files. (For example my folder contains DynDOLOD.json files that I do not want to lose.) d.) Delete .json files for the tests you don't plan to run (I also delete the config file if present).
3.) Before running the tests you will want to enable papyrus logs to help with troubleshooting. AutoTest's .json files can be compared with the papyrus logs to find the FormID's associated with the NPCs in the screenshots. To enable papyrus logs: a.) Open Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition b.) Open Skyrim.ini c.) Navigate to the [Papyrus] section, then change "bEnableLogging=0" to "bEnableLogging=1" d.) Save changes. Once you've done that the papyrus logs for AutoTest are located under Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/Logs/Script These logs should include timestamps and FormID's for the affected NPCs. Entering the FormID's in xEdit should help narrow any issues you are having with your NPCs.
4.) Next you will initiate the test. Open Skyrim -> Load the save you made in the test hall -> open the console and enter "start_tests". Your selected test should now run. If you run into trouble press ~ to open the console and enter "stop_tests". If your console is invisible you can enter "tm" to toggle it back on. You can repeat this procedure for all three tests.
I have not been able to just run all three tests in one go, I have had to do each one individually. Screenshots from your NPC tests will go to your Skyrim install folder.
I've had a lot more luck getting the automatic tests to run after installing some mods that address some of the inherent issues with the papyrus engine.
I also was using "XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE", but have since substituted in "XP32 Maximum Skeleton lite" to remove the scripts from the main mod. Both mods have detailed descriptions for how to properly install them on their mod pages. This remedied some of my issues, and the Auto Test mod is now fully functional for me with no strange glitches.
Prior to this I was having all sorts of trouble. Your mileage may vary, as we will have different mod lists and load orders. I hope this helps someone use the mod.

CTD when trying to run any test....
