Using Kartoffels excellent Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures as a base, all creature textures have been up-scaled with an AI upscaler, processed with a custom photoshop filter, and saved in BC7 file format.

100% Lore/Vanilla friendly.

Texture sizes for the full res version range from 512x512 to 8192x8192. The large creatures (dragons, mammoth, your mom (jk lol) etc.) are 8K because they are large (woah). Half res textures are exactly half the size of the full res (duh).

Only two creatures (Burnt Spriggen, and Alduin) have been significantly darkened. The spriggen was darkened because the name is "Burnt Spriggen".

Alduin was darkened because according to the lore he's referred to as the "Twilight God", and in the song of the dragonborn he's referred to as "Black Wings" and "Ancient Shadow Unbound".




If you want an Alduin replacer that (IMO) fits the lore even better, there's an alternate [Iconic's Cut] retexture made by me in the file section. This retexture was inspired by BlackWolf24's Alduin Enhanced, but it comes in a much higher resolution than his mod.



Final Notes & Permissions

This can be used as is, to either replace creature textures, or be used as a base to build on. 

These are still Bethesda textures, the quality doesn't even come close to
retextures made from scratch. However they are still better than vanilla, and this
mod should serve as an excellent base for building textures off of.


This is also a modders resource, feel free to use these textures for
anything and everything you want. Permissions are open. Credit is
preferable but not required.
