About this mod

A mod that adds craftable, buyable, and lootable fur clothing for mages to the game. Good for arcane adventurers that want to keep warm or have nothing to do with the College! Frostfall/Survival Mode supported.

FEATURES

This mod uses Vanilla assets only to add five "mage furs" (robes) and three "fur-lined hoods". "Simple fur shoes/bracers" are also provided to round out the set. All items are craftable and show up at merchants and in the world as loot. They provide no armour and are classified as clothing, so mage characters can keep warm while they wander Skyrim in a way that won't interfere with Alteration-based builds. The items support Frostfall and CC's Survival Mode.

The textures are not custom and thus look a little weird. They're good enough for me and I figured I'd share, but I don't know whether I'll ever get around to making better ones (sorry).

CRAFTING
All items can be made at a tanning rack using wolf pelts, leather strips, and soul gems. The robes and hoods require perks invested in Enchanting, with levels 1-5 corresponding to novice - master.
  • The Simple fur shoes/bracers require a wolf pelt and 2 leather strips.
  • The novice - master robes require 4 wolf pelts, 3 leather strips, and a soul gem (petty for novice, lesser for apprentice, etc.)
  • The novice - adept hoods require a wolf pelt, a leather strip, and a soul gem (petty for novice, etc.)

COMPATIBILITY
No requirements; uses Vanilla assets only. No DLCs or other mods required. Supports Frostfall and CC's Survival Mode.

Mods that replace robe models (apprentice, journeyman, archmage, monk, and Mythic Dawn) or wolf pelt textures may aesthetically impact the items. Mods that modify what bandit mages wear or the loot in treasure chests may cause the items not to appear in the world. They should still be craftable.

The crafting relies on Vanilla Enchanting perks, so it will likely break with perk overhauls.
