Messing around with combat mods, I eventually started using Ultimate Combat. As i'm currently playing an Archer, I wasn't a fan of the headshot sound, so I made my own for personal use, I ended up preferring it much more.
For some reason, In Ultimate combat the timed block and the headshot sound both seem to point to the same sound file, but I think it serves its purpose regardless. If someone knows how to seperate them, please let me know.
