February 3, 2018 - 5.0 ANNOUNCEMENT! IMPORTANT! Okay...do I have your attention? Don't mean to yell and all, just hoping to help people out here. If you are using any version of Elysium Estate below 5.0....and you download 5.0 into your current game, I can guarantee bugs. It just happens. You will have activators that don't work, missing meshes, collision issues, scripts that don't respond.... etc. I have tested 5.0 over and over again so if you have lots of bugs, it is most likely on your end. Try Elysium 5.0 on a new game, try it on a clean game. Or try another clean save. If you still have issues, it could also be another mod. Download the Elysium Estate guide in the files section for how to perform a clean save and other information.

Not to say...there may not be a bug or two with 5.0 I hope not, but it happens. If so, report on the bug page or in this forum. I do update the Change Log, so check that if you are wondering if you need an update. Thanks and enjoy!

February 2, 2018 - Welcome to 5.0! I have put countless hours into this version since April 2017. It will be controversial for some people, but I made these changes after using Elysium Estate 4.3.5 on my play-through of Skyrim and I am happy with them. Thank you so much for all the feedback of my supporters, and for those who tested the BETA.

Here is a list of things I am working on now that 5.0 is released.....
    [X ] 5.0 PDF Guide
    [X ] New images of 5.0
[X ] Update all information on EE Nexus page
[ ] Some video guides on Youtube
[ ] Checking compatibility with requested mods

    February 3, 2018 - A note from me:
I try to respond to lots of comments and PMs...if I don't respond to yours, it might be because I have answered the question a lot, or you can find the answer by downloading the guide to help you out. And we have a great community here, sometimes other people respond with better comments than I ever could! Thanks for all the suggestions everyone....but I can't take them all even though most of them are awesome. I have hit a point of diminishing returns with Elysium Estate in I have learned so much over the years but it's time I move onto other projects.

    - To Solve Children Issue -

I've noticed that many people have an issue with children moving into Elysium, whether it be due to a mod conflict, a load order issue or even an in game issue, you may not know what your issue is. So on behalf of the mod creator, @thejadeshadow , who did a wonderful job creating this mod, I come to help solve this issue. I have had problems myself with trying to get my Skyrim kids to move into Elysium. My issues were; the, "let's move," dialogue would be missing, or after going through that dialogue, the child says they will meet me there but never do, OR I would get the dialogue option to move, but no "To our new home," option. It's these problems you see the most with this mod and I'm here to tell you, it is not an issue with this mod itself. It is either a conflict on your end due to another mod overwriting Elysium's files, a load order problem or not having the right requirements to actually move the kids into the house. **Note that you could be having all 3 of these issues without knowing it** Now, to get started on the solutions, let me start with recommending that you read Jade's description and stickies so you completely understand and are aware of this mods potential requirements. With that being said, if you have done everything the mod description and sticky says, here are some solutions:

    1. IF you haven't already, download the Multiple Adoptions mod (find it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3862).
**The reason why Multiple Adoptions is essential to this mod is because when you own another player home such as Breezehome already and you want to move everything over to Elysium, the modded player home isn't actually listed in the game's files (as far as I know, I could be wrong) as your actual registered home. The Multiple Adoptions mod seeks to fix that, coming with the "Bless Home" spell, which allows you to set a home (as long as it has enough beds and chests for your kids, wife and housecarl. [If you have all those... Maidenless? That's okay, just make sure you have the other requirements.] However, Don't worry about this, Elysium has plenty of room.) as your own home and allow you to move your kids, up to 4 with the mod installed, into the home.**

    2. Search for any potential patches that suit your load order.

    3. IF you have the My Home is Your Home mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7096) and/or Relationship Dialogue Overhaul mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1187), it is crucial that you load Elysium AFTER these mods and the patches you chose (if patches were needed), as well as Multiple Adoptions. The reason why this is recommended as a solution is to prevent Elysium from being overwritten by the dialogue options in these mods. After doing this, this should solve the missing dialogue issue, as well as any other issues you had with your kids moving into Elysium Estate.
**If you don't already have LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool; makes load orders easy) installed and use it religiously like I do, do so here: https://loot.github.io/

Now that the file conflicts have been resolved, lets move the tykes into the home:

    1. Make sure you actually have the children's bedroom set up from the options in the Elysium book on the table in the Dragonborn's room adjacent to the exit door.

    2. Use the Bless Home spell to set the player home as yours. If you get a message saying that there aren't enough beds for your family in the top left corner of your screen, you have forgotten to set Elysium as child friendly; refer to step 1 above once more.

    3. Your issue should now be resolved.
**If it hasn't, that means there is another mod conflicting with Elysium, and you should check your mod conflicts (hopefully you're using a mod manager for this like Vortex or Mod Manager 2 (I recommend MO2). If you download your mods manually, your time is about to be consumed as you will need to disable all mods aside from Elysium and enable them all 1 by 1 whilst loading the game after you enable another to see which mod is causing the issue. Alternatively, use SSEEdit (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164?tab=description) to check potential conflicts.**

Hopefully these solutions helped and you can now fill Elysium Estate will all your Skyrim goodies. Jade put lots and time and effort into this mod, so give thanks to the mod creator and endorse the mod, as this is one of, if not the greatest modded player home for Skyrim (imo)

So, I read the note and bought the key before talking to Kynareth, and now I don't know how to get rid of the quest in my journal, what would the command for that be (i.e. setstage [quest&state])?

You don't buy the key, the ghost gives it to you after you talk to Kynareth. The house is free.

Been playing for a while, no problems (character level in the 40s on this play through) and then BAM.

CTD every time I try to enter the house.  Tried every door.  Can still enter the basement, but any attempt to enter the top of the house, CTD.

Does anyone know if there's a patch that fixes the Hold guard helmets/shields? It's not a bug per se, but it's weird that the Pale helm/shield is hanging out on the Imperial side of the wall, and Markarth shield and helm are on the Stormcloak side.

A couple of thalmor spawned inside the house and started a fight. Now there are three dead bodies on the floor that seems to persist. :)
