About this mod

A tiny, scholar/astronomy themed player home for the solitary mage; based on and inspired by aureoy's "Astronomer's Loft."

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Location
  • In the side courtyard of Arcadia's cauldron in Whiterun. The home is free, so just turn up!
Features
  • Loads of custom astronomy-themed assets
  • Interactive markers (transcribe, read, write, etc.). These must be activated in 3rd person or the animation will not be visible.
  • Automatic animations: sit at the bench to whip out a book or at the upstairs dining table to munch on some bread.
  • Activators (i.e. "clickies"): Prepare a meal or deploy a bedroll for a guest!
  • Customize the amount of clutter in the bed, crafting, and desk areas by "tidying up" (the crafting activator is on the gleamblossom jar for the crafting area, the blue globe for the desk area, and the box of desk materials for the bed--see screenshots)
  • Custom storage aplenty
  • Equipped with alchemy, enchanting, and staff enchanting (no smithing, but the Skyforge or Warmaiden's are just a short distance)
  • 6 hearthfire planters
  • Navmeshed for followers
Compatibility
  • Confirmed to be compatible with JK's Skyrim and T'Skyrim Whiterun Add-on for JK's (my setup). Presumed to be compatible with EEK's Whiterun and Capital Whiterun Expansion. Probably compatible with others.
  • As it is a redux/renovation of Aureoy's "Astronomer's Loft," the two mods are not compatible.
Known Issues
  •  The seating markers are a bit fiddly and there is minor clipping into the walls/furniture.
Future Plans
  • Set lights on a timer
Permissions
  • Many of the assets featured in this mod were BY PERMISSION ONLY and you MUST contact the original mod author
  • for use. Do NOT unpack the .bsa and treat it as a resource repository.
  • Any assets found in the “Queenacademe” folder will soon be released in a modder's resource pack. If you'd like to use them before the pack launches please contact me; I want to hear about what you're working on!
  • Anyone who wishes to make bug fixes or compatibility patches is free to do.
