You should read that mod's mod page. It's in red at the bottom
But also consider if you really need that mod. I don't like some of its changes: bright fog at night in eastmarch and arbitrary darkening of some waterfalls
I use the mod and personally don't see anything wrong when I let this overwrite that one.
Thank you for this and your other high poly mods. There are a lot of texture replacers around, but so few that improve meshes, especially on objects like these.
because they overwrite elfx meshes, so you lose the elfx effects, but gain hd meshes. my thumbrule if using elfx: let nothing overwrite it. i wonder why there are no mods which combine the elfx effects and hd meshes. updates for static mesh improvement mod, high poly project and skyrim 2020 would need to be released i guess.
There are scripts you can run to automate updating of many nifs at once, but many(most or all?) aspects can also be set with an esp in xedit.
For example LUX the new lighting mod has a similar issues, but you can run the ENB light patcher (or script if you prefer) to reduce brightness of all lights in your load order. The nifs for lux also replace a lot of high poly stuff, since its a new mod there are patches for high poly stuff, but in your example, just like lux, you'd need to look at see what they've done to the nifs, then merge that (if possible) into the high poly nifs. Sometimes its not possible, like Simplicity of Snow mod wont work if you use parallax flags in your nif. So as always, just pick and choose what will work in your setup. YMMV! PS. You need nifskope to inspect nifs, I cant recall the name of the methods to batch update nifs, but there are several ways to go with that. Good luck! Also consider trying Lux, its new has tons of patches and its quite amazing.
Don't know, but I don't think the shape changes justify generating new LOD. And it's easy to test anyway, just start a new character with this mod and 'coc blackreacharena' and look around.
Unfortunately, ELFX (unlike this mod) is closed permissions, so I don't have permissions to use their assets. If you want, you can contact the author and get their permissions.
It's a bit late, but Anamorfus, the author of ELFX, gave permission after I asked him if you can use his assets to create a patch :) I know it works if you use ELFX Fixes, but I wanted to update you anyways ;)
Im confused, what is the purpose of the update? Both versions were already in bs format from the things I looked at. Can you be a little more specific?
Modify epic mushroom's UV map to better hide the seam and reduce pixelation
I literally asked what the new update did aka version 1.1? I looked at the old version and new version. What does use bstrishape for optimization mean?
That's not "literally" what you asked. You asked about the "new" version. and as far as I am concerned, both 1.0 and 1.1 are new
BSTriShape is a nif node type that stores information in a differnet format from NiTriShape. NiTriShape was uploaded first because it is the format all nif tools understand and works perfectly fine with SSE. However, someone will invariably complain about the nifs not being in BSTriShape format because BSTriShape is newer for SSE and "optimized" because it stores floating point numbers with half the precision as NiTriShape.
You are not among the 3 people who downloaded 1.0 in the 11 minutes before 1.1 was uploaded. This truthfully does not matter to you at all. Unless you want to learn modding, in which case I can link you to some modding discords

I'm a little ignorant on how DynDOLOD LOD's work. Would I need to generate new LOD's if I install these shrooms?

These are just your meshes @wankingSkeever... with edited values for compatibility with that mod. Feel free to do anything with them ofc...

Hi Fuzz! :D
No problem! :3

Version changed from 0.4 to 1.1
