About this mod

A small and simple script free mod that has little to no impact on performance. This mod changes weapon attack speeds to those of the corresponding weapon class in Dark Souls 3.

Below are attack speed changes in terms of attacks per second based on Dark Souls 3 weapon BPM data


Vanilla:

  • One Handed:
    • Daggers: 1.30 -> 2.50
    • Swords: 1.00 -> 1.67
    • War Axes: 0.90 -> 1.50
    • Maces: 0.80 -> 1.12

  • Two Handed:
    • Greatswords: 0.70 -> 0.97
    • Battleaxes: 0.70 -> 0.87
    • Warhammers: 0.60 -> 0.65
    • The Longhammer: 0.80  -> 0.845

  • Bows: 
    • Long Bow: 1.00 -> 1.00
    • Hunting Bow: 0.9375 -> 1.00
    • Orcish Bow: 0.8125 -> 1.00
    • Nord Hero Bow: 0.875 -> 1.00
    • Dwarven Bow: 0.75 -> 1.00

Notes:
  • Like Dark Souls 3, all small axes are the same speed, all small hammers are the same speed, all straight swords are the same speed. This means that short swords are no longer faster than swords, they are lighter and shorter but not faster. Same goes for mauls/clubs vs maces and hatchets vs axes. All weapon speeds in this patch are still much faster than vanilla Heavy Armory but the speed differential between weapon sub-classes is not there and would not make sense with this mod. The purpose of this mod is to make weapons the speed of those in Dark Souls 3 and it does.

  • BPM or Beats Per Minute minute can be converted to attacks per second by dividing the BPM value by 60.
