Why did you deleted the "oldrim" version of the mod?

I would also like to know the answer to this question. My guess is it's probably a "Get with the times, pay more money for SSE or kill yourself, I am the greatest modding god who ever lived and you are beneath me" type answer.

My guess is that a mod is a gift to us all, and the owner has the right to do what ever he wants with it.

So behave yourself, and get on with your life, Btw SSE is actually worth every penny !!

SSE is only $15... I could see the complaint if it was $60+ like every other game on the planet but it's low enough that someone on welfare, aka me, could manage to afford it...

The price is not the problem, its the performance, not everyone has a "decent" computer (actually a powerful computer, good pc users like to call their computers "Average"), My computer for example, cannot even run Oldrim on 50FPS, it runs a 29FPS~.

I'm looking for the light Elven Shield, I have the materials and my own forge as well as access to the Skyforge but I don't see where/how to make it?

The cubemaps in this mod are breaking the textures on glass gauntlets, boots and particularly the shield. It took me an entire evening to pinpoint this mod as the culprit, since I had no conflicts, and no other mods changing glass armor meshes and textures, and since all the assets of this mod are packed in bsa.

However, unpacking the bsa files to loose files and deleting all the cubemaps once again fixed glass armor pieces so they look as they should.

If someone else suffers from poor and broken glass textures, this mod would be a likely answer to that problem.

Do you happen to have the fixed version still? I think a lot of people would appreciate it. When I unpacked/repacked the archive without the cubemaps in it, the game crashes.

This causes a conflict with Bijin's Warmaidens. When this esp loads after Bijins, it causes a blackface bug on Ria. This is because it adds stuff to her inventory. When sorting with loot, SkyForgeShields' esp is automatically placed below Bijins AIO mod. If you drag skyforgeshields higher in the list or Bijins AIO lower in the list, it fixes this issue.

Would it be possible to get a replacer-only version of this mod that doesnt edit NPCs?

That's a nice find. I hadn't noticed that before, likely because I load armors, etc higher than npc replacers. Looking at this mod in xEdit I see it edits the records of Vilkas, Athis and Ria. I also contains the entire vanilla record so yes, if one has a hair replacer, for example, the black face bug will appear. Although easily fixed in SSEEdit, I don't know why the author structured it this way.

Can confirm, I had the same issue today. Was going mad trying to figure out which of my texture replacers could be conflicting. Imagine my surprise when it was a SHIELD mod of all things.

      Just did that.
I placed order to Loot to place bijiin aio after the skyforge weapons/shields and the problem solved.
      Thx Estuansis!

Can't understand, still, how a mod that adds shields/weapons is altering HEAD parts too.

It's not that, it's that this mod edits the character data.

    These are so good.

All I did was reduce the size of the heavy shield by 10% to better fit my character. Absolutely amazing!

I'm glad to hear that this worked for you!

I unfortunately must report I am still having the same issue, regardless of sorting the mod before or after Bijin.

Please port this to Xbox One! These are some of the most beautiful shields I've ever seen, and look way better than the vanilla Steel Shield.

I'd agree, except that nobody posts mods to this website without an agenda, be it endorsements or notoriety. There are too many modders that make content either for their personal use or to show off to the world, come to this community with an oliver twist mentality "pls sir, like subscribe and endorse my mod" and then get uppity when people make requests or ask questions about the mod functionality. If you're going to be a street performer then you have no right to pretend your s*** doesn't stink when someone asks you to play stairway to heaven on your guitar.

    Hello Dreogan,
I found a conflict with bijin warmaidens se. Loot had set the skyforgedshield.esp below bijin warmaidens.esp. I suddenly had a "black face bug" at Ria. Ok, I was looking for and found this problem. The skyforgedshield.esp must be placed above the load order of bijin warmaiden.esp and everything is good. The problem is certainly also in connection with other mods, like Wico or similar. I still test the loader succession. Is not really easy.
Perhaps also interesting for other users. I wouldn't have thought possible. I had been looking for a long time. Loot does not work for all mods...... unfortunately.
Thank you for your great mod!

PS: Sorry, english isn't necessarily my language.

      I had the same problem.
Using "WICO" and " Diversity" mod above "skyforge shield" mod will cause Ria and Vilkas to have black face in my game.

The solution is to put "skyforge shield" above npc texture mod in the plugin order.

it seem to cause some facegen conflict for some reason

I have no idea why a shield mod needs to alter a head.nif or face tint texture because those are the culprits of a " black face " bug.
Not needed for a shield mod ...

      It's in the .esp
This mod takes the vanilla data from Ria, and adds in that Skyforge Shield. That "overwrites" the new data altered by Bijin.
Should be fairly easy to make a patch I guess...

This ' issue ' should be mentioned on the description page

A good rule of them is put npc makeovers lower in the mod order because any mod that changes the NPC record (including weapons or gear the NPC) will overwrite the looks.

The same is true of weather, water, and lighting both interior and exterior. Mods you don't think have anything to do with those still touch the same records for different reasons.

Sort you load order (loot is good but not perfect) and then open the entire load order in xedit, right click and run the filter looking for conflict losers. It can be shocking. You can then decide to a: learn how to make a patch (youtube) or b.pick the more important mod and put it lower. I keep my weather, interior lighting (ele) and water mod at the bottom.
