If you want the parallax don't install the main vortex version. Parallax version is in optional files.
If I'm missing something in the description or if you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

Used this mod on an old playthrough. Uninstalled it for a new one since it didn't fit the new character. esp, meshes, textures and everything labeled "Emberstone" was removed from my Data folder, and yet the marker and some meshes still remain at the location of the player home.

Keep in mind, since this is a new save game, no data pertaining to this home should've been found. Looks like I'll have to go in CK to see what can be done, or if I have to do a fresh install of Skyrim.

edit: I'm not sure how, or why. I have no other mods/patches pertaining to this mod, nor have I done anything with it in CK in the past (I also don't use LODGen mods). It looks like the data is baked in my Skyrim.esm or one of the DLCs, and if I want to get rid of the mod completely a fresh install is needed. For now I'll disable the extra meshes floating about, and deal with the extra map marker.

edit 2: I reinstalled the mod with a mod manager and deleted it again, this time it somehow successfully got rid of all files pertaining to the mod? Not sure what happened. Anyway, great mod when it's installed, but if you're having problems uninstalling then just... reinstall it and uninstall it again ig.

Just for information, this mod and Dwarven Mining Facility kind of overlap each other because they are both built at the same place.

The author don't gave any permission for other to fix or finish it... It sux because it's probably one of the most immersive and cool player home.
But full of bug, bad pathfinding and not properly though for a few other NPC.

Finally a very good, Medieval, Player Keep, Environment for Screenshots that:

    1. Isn't bigger than the White Gold Tower.
    2. Isn't cluttered with all the Daedric/ Aedric shrines/ Display case you wont use/ clothing racks/ treasure clutter displays for claws etc.
(If someone want's a shrine, there are ways to spawn and add one even with Jaxonz Positioner and you can add everything according to your taste that way)
    3. Isn't cluttered with NPCs i don't want. (Many mods can help add and equip and move NPCs inside).

Also if anyone didn't thought of it:

Looks as bright or dark as your Monitor Calibration makes it. Looks as bright or dark and as immersive as your Weather and Lightning and Color Grading Shader mod setup (ReShade/ ENB) makes it.
    Obviously...
I guess if i make a bad mod and add ''fancy'' pictures for it, maybe even some Anime Toon NPC with Elven ears that point outwards, with glossy Gourds ''Sorry i meant boobs'' that juggle and an Ahegao tongue face with no functionality everyone will download it?
Wow. Didn't knew that this is the new trend everywhere...

But if that's the case why bother downloading such a fine Dark Fantasy Medieval setting Keep Player Home

The reason i bothered writing this, is because, it's good to express opinions freely but ''We need more mods like this one'' we need more ''Quality mods like this one'' and we certainly need more Quality Armour mods like mmccarthy's. We already have enough boob mods, how many more?

It's a ''Custom Asset'' Home guys which you can tweak accordingly. Like a modders resource.

Best Player home. I also use this esp that adresses a few things. This one

What mods could I use to get NPCs to occupy it?

A few different options available to you.  You can use something like Amazing Follower Tweaks, with the "dismiss but hang out here" option, for a very basic sandboxing package.   You can use My Home Is Your Home (or My Home Is Your Home 2+ if you want more functionality) to assign them to the home, along with work/guard and sleep packages.  (MHIYH is work day, guard/sleep night.  MHIYH2+ has both day and night options for each).
There is also NPC Party, which gives you a metric ton of flexibility because you can construct the AI packages in game, on the fly, including variable hours, distances to beds, you name it.  The only down side is that it sometimes has issues with SSE Engine Fixes and is being reworked for its full (non-beta) release.  Once it is ready, it will probably require a new character to upgrade from beta to full.  Depending on how disposable your play through is, you may want to wait for the full version, or if you're just in test mode, you will probably enjoy it.  It actually combines the functions of a multifollower framework, a home assignment mod, and an outfit control mod.

hope you'd eventually make a LE version, I'd love this as a player home for my main character, it really would be perfect!

I am pretty sure all of them shamefully underrated masterpieces by mmccarthy4's could find a great success with the LE public, since there's no one person attached to his dignity who plays SE these days. XD

Honestly, any mod that doesn't have clear, well-lit screenshots is a red flag for me. Wish we could get a better look at it.

Are you using a filter for the same reason teenage girls do, because they look average?

I don't like average looking homes.  I went to your profile, to see what home mods should look like when done properly, but I can't seem to find any mods.  Can you help me find your above-average work, so that I might see how things should look?

thumbincubaion,  Well said.  Although I do wish there were places for followers/guards to sleep.   I will be adding this with the the update plugin.

Thanks for your wonderful mod! I decorated it myself a bit using a furniture mod and it works well for a my family as a home!
Unfortunately, I have 2 small Problems. 1st: When I save my game inside the Castle, the save game is not flagged as belonging to the specific character so I have to load it in the "all saves" section. 2nd: For some reason no NPC is willing to go into the basement and when I port one into it, the NPC wont't move at all.
Any Ideas how to deal with it?

I will investigate it. The save game issue is happening on  my end too but I did't think it was the castle. As for the basement it seems like a navmesh issue

The basement did not appear to be navmeshed when I was working on it in CK.  (I converted it to a guard room.)

Next time I play, I will try a save in the keep and then see where it wants me to load it from.

      Beautiful keep, btw.

That save issue is caused by having underscores in the cell name on SSE. Remove the underscores.

Why there are NPC inside the walls? They are kept in a prison cage :D.

They are what makes usable planters work.  Some modders keep them near the planters, while others create a separate cell for them.  Basically, planting something amounts to giving the NPC a gift.
