Is there a version of this mod that only does the redistribution? I really want to have the Empire use the whole range of equipment available to them but I already have a retexture for the equipment that I really like.
Hi! Apologies, I just uploaded a screenshot to the user image section, I was wondering if it was still possible to find that variant of the armor because I can't seem to find it. That was back when I had the mod a couple years ago before it updated. Thank you!
Hi, just approved you screenshot. The model for the armor is fro the earlier version of the mod, and sadly isn't available anymore. I'll see if I can provide a version which still contains it. Alternatively you can check out "Semper Fi" (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/693)
The heavy armour inventory mesh is broken and won't load. The light armour (regular, not studded) is also bugged and won't appear on any NPC or the player. When NPCs or the player wear it, they are reduced to their head, forearms, and lower legs. I don't think it's a mod conflict since the only conflict that appeared was for a weapon, and even then, I set this mod to load before the other. Is anyone able to think of a reason and hopefully a solution?
Two months later and I'm still having the same issue. Does anyone know a possible reason and/or fix for the models not working? Again, there are no conflicts for the armours and it's the inventory heavy armour model and the worn models for light (not studded) armour on both males and females.
I somehow overlooked your comment back in January, sorry. You are right, it most likely isn`t a mod conflict, because then it just would show a different model. From what you describe, to me it sounds like that the appropriate models are not loaded because they are somehow missing. I will look into it.
It's been another nine months, and the models still aren't loading. I've downloaded the most recent version of the mod and there are still no conflicts. Have you managed to get around to fixing the issue yet? It's understandable if you've just been stupidly busy, but even then, surely it wouldn't take a full nine months to fix a bug that prevents models from loading.
Sorry for replying late again, I have been and actually still am very busy. I wasn't able to replicate the issues you describe an thus can't provide a fix. The thing is that the meshes/models included in my mod are replacers for the vanilla meshes/models, so if they aren't loaded than at least the vanilla meshes/models should be displayed. The only explanation for the issues described by you would be that the mod file is referring to meshes/models that are missing. This shouldn't be the case with this mod, because it uses the vanilla file paths for the meshes/models so even if they were indeed missing, the vanilla meshes/models should be used, as stated before.
Maybe the install of the mod you are using somehow uses an older version of the mod file, since in previous versions of this mod it didn't replace the vanilla meshes/models but added new ones and the file paths in the mod file specifically referred to the added meshes instead of the vanilla ones. If those files are missing it could very well result in issues similar to those you described.
I don't know how you install your mods or which mod manager you are using, but please make sure that the mod file as well as the adjacent assets are all properly replaced if you update the mod.
I hope this can help you resolve the issues with my mod.
Hey, don't worry about replying late, you're fine. In fact, I'd be a hypocrite if I chewed you out for it, lol. Anyway, I somehow forgot to mention that there is one conflicting mod I have installed, that being Cathedral Armoury. I don't think that's what's causing the issue since uninstalling the mod didn't provide a fix. I thought it was still worth mentioning, though. As for the mod folders, I'm fairly sure they're installed correctly. I use Vortex as my mod loader, and it's done a pretty good job with every other mod. Although, if you're aware of any issues with Vortex installing/loading your mod, it could be happening on my end. Anyway, I'll take a look at the folder placement and see if I can figure anything out. If I find a solution, I'll chuck a reply here. Thanks for the tip on the folders, and I'm sorry if I sounded rude at all in my previous reply.
I feel terrible saying this considering the sheer amount of your mods that I've loved and downloaded but... it feels like the new version of the armor makes your character very thin, I've even made characters with max weight and they still look squalid. The old armors, which are now the officer armors, didn't have this issue but this new version does, I'd just use the old files if that was an option but I'm on xbox. Please don't take this comment badly or as a request to change it, I'd never ask that, I just wanted to see if anyone else thought the same or if you perhaps did.
I unfortunately don't know how to port mods back to LE, but if anyone does know, they are free to do so. This mod contains just a simple esp file, I don't know about the meshes and textures to be honest, since they are based on SE assets.
This mod works best on a new save game, if you load it on an existing save game only the armors will be replaced with the new models, the redistribution of the armors won't work for any character that already has been loaded on your current save. The new armors will be equipped if the character is rested, either by the game after a certain amount of in game time has past or with a console command.
Alright, that's good to know, I had been testing on a new save file with the Alternate Start mod but none of them had been spawning with their new armor. I can try resetting them later
Hey, just wanted to pop in and say that resetting the npcs via resurrect did not work for equipping their armor. According to Vortex, the mod isn't conflicting with any other mod either so I have no idea what would be causing this issue
Alright so after procrastinating for 3 days and giving myself a crash course on how to use xEdit, I found out that for whatever reason, Joy of Perspective was the mod caused the armors to not load in
