A hand and a half sword isn't a longer longsword. Quite the opposite. Longswords are proper two -handed swords. Hand and a half swords are swords which can be used effectively with two hands or with one hand. They are called hand and a half swords because their blade and grip are shorter than on an average longsword and when wearing gauntlets the lower hand is holding the pommel, ergo only one and a half hands fit on the grip.
The sword in the screenshots looks like a longsword to me because of the long hilt.
Hand and a half is the true longsword. Long bladed arming swords (strictly a single hand grip) were rare. Most arming swords were officially shortswords.

Nice work! Also, just off-topic. Why exactly did you stop working on the Weapon Improvement project for Oblivion? Always found the retextures you included to be amazing yet very fitting back in the day. Still, dont exactly blame you since Oblivion modding scene is not as big.
