Because there is always the question why I didn't put all the files in one download here:
This is a work in progress project, I uploaded this esp so people are able to enjoy all my currently released replacers without counting their esp's. When I started this project I decided to release every item once it is completed, the other option was to keep them all and release one big pack once they are all done. I already worked on this project over the past 7 months and still not close to completion. Until then this is the easiest way for me to maintain this mod, time is always short for modding so I rather spend it creating new stuff than maintaining releases.
Requirement: 28 Mods - please you are not serious...there is no STICKY reason for this. 19.000 downloads. 19.000 uique tortured.... 96.000 views => 56.000 users who had no desire for this torment... ;-)
That's exactly why I went 'fuuuuuuuuck that, pretty jewelry isn't worth the Pain of downloading 28 mods'. Tis a shame, because they're super pretty :') I'll just keep the individual ones I have for now lol :')
I dont know why you are complaining, If you read the pinned post above Ave released her single works early so they could be enjoyed as she did them - I would think most people have already downloaded all the mods by now and this esp is to complete them all up to date in one esp. If you dont want it then dont have it & carry on using the ones you have with the seperate extra esp/esls you have in your load order. There is no call for the attitude shown here, Ave is only trying to make our lives easier. Edit: in case you dont realise if you already have the mods downloaded you can use them with this esp, just hide/delete the esp from the mods, you dont need to redownload the mods.
+1 to bringing all datafiles into the AIO. It's not an AIO without them. It's way more work for all of us to hunt down each of your mods like this than it is for you to simply re-zip and re-upload the AIO with whatever updates you make to any of these datafiles.
It really stuns me that people who use these amazing works of art that have taken the mod maker untold hours of their time without pay to create their mods & then to very kindly offer them free for us to download & use, to have the gaul to complain about any of the delivery methods of the free mods takes away my breath! Most mod authors create in their spare time & do have lives with children, husbands, have to keep house, work, cook - all the stuff we all have to do - they dont have all day to do things they dont happen to think are necessary. Would you?? I just cant understand the attitude of people who seem to think they are entitled and owed something by the mod creator. It is only by their good will that they have put their mods up here for us to share. They dont have to do that. Being so negative is how mod author's decide to pull their mods off the Nexus & I definitely dont want that to happen to Ave's. She is a true artist & should be respected as such.
You are right, combining the mods seems to be quite easy. I didn't know this option yet and it seems to be a great solution for the problem. Thanks for the tip.
Unfortunately I did download them all... then noticed the Bodyslide and SoS requirements. If SoS stands for Shlongs... why do I want to look at a ten inch penis to see a ring? Bodyslide isn't something I use. They do look pretty though...
While I'm always grateful for mods like this one, we gotta keep it real. An AIO is... An AIO. Why even go through the trouble of making an AIO if users will still have to download every single mod, individually, that they want to use? It's nonsensical, it would have been better for the author to use the time for themselves instead or open permissions/let someone else offer their mod as an AIO for real.
funny how people will spend dozens of hours hand picking 1,000 mods for their skyrim but as soon as they see 20 requirements to download (literally took me like 5 mins) for an aio esp they lose their minds.
I still remember the time I found a beautiful necklace during Serena's quest. I'm sure it belonged to some mod, but I don't know which one or who made it. What I want to say is that it really stuck in my memory. I love beautiful things and I love just looking at them. Your work is incredible and I can't even imagine how much effort you put into it. I want to say that I have great admiration for people like that and that you are an essential and special part of the community. For that, thank you.
Please just combine the textures into the AIO mod. I get it: you don't like it, move along. Your work is great and I'd use it, but I'm not downloading 30 small mods just to use this AIO esp.
I love your work and have loved it for years, but having recently reinstalled Skyrim and starting a new modlist, downloading ~30 - 40 mods and then individually disabling their .esps is a huge hassle.
No good deed goes unpunished, does it? Seriously, put a little work in yourselves instead of acting like spoiled kids who want everything spoon fed to them.
I totally understand where you're coming from, and having seen all kinds of awful comments and stupid demands from others over the years on the Nexus, let me say that I'll be the first person to admit that I have no idea how demanding or difficult it must be to maintain a giant AIO. As someone that has not so much as made a single mod myself, I have no right to demand that such an AIO be made. I apologize, avebrave, if I appear to be just another ungrateful user that doesn't appreciate the work you've put into the mods that you've made.
At the risk of starting (yet another) long thread on this site that ultimately doesn't contribute anything of value to the conversation, I apologize if I seem ungrateful for the work you've put into your genuinely excellent mods. I only just now read the blog post that you've made (which is here if anyone is wondering wtf is going on: Ave: TES Modding: FAQ (avebravell.blogspot.com)), and I'd like to think that I have a bit more insight into your decision. While I still believe in the value of an AIO (and am willing to argue for one), I refuse to do so at the expense of making your work feel unappreciated or undervalued.
@ olivebrb: Normally I wouldn't comment on AIO requests, because I said everything that needs to be said, but I think your comment deserves a proper answer. No worries, I didn't take your comment as ungrateful in any way. In fact, I can understand that it is annoying to install all the mods one by one. It's kind of similar to the annoyance of the process I have to go through every time I would update this mod if it's a huge AIO.
Point is, most people think they would gain anything if I made a huge AIO. But they wouldn't, I would still make stuff but will delay the release to a later date to avoid maintaining the AIO. Time flys by, and I totally forgot about that item (e.g. Gauldurs Blackblade: the extended pommel version was done already in 2021 and was just recently added because I was too lazy at that moment to create the fomod) So the question is would I rather make one big AIO or release many more small mods? I decided to go by many small mods. If anybody wants to argue against that, I can right away show you, idk, let's say twenty models I made that were never released, some made for one specific bodytype only, or used to replace a specific item of a mod I use, or for whatever reason. And not sharing those has nothing to do with not being willing to do so, there are just certain parts in modding I just don't like. Modding is just a hobby after all so of course I like to do the fun part and avoid the boring part. So if anyone doesn't like my decision, and thinks it is not worth the hassle to download the required mods, so be it, not going to force anybody to download my mods
Fun fact: I made this esp for LE users because there are no esl's in LE, but during all these years there was only one comment on the LE version complaining about the fact that the models and textures needed to be downloaded separately. On the SE version on the other hand nearly every time I update this, there will be someone asking for a full AIO. I mean all the mods count 'only' on the esl counter.
That being said, I appreciate you for your support and posting again to apologize, like I said there was no bad blood on my end about your comment in the first place. Sorry for disappointing you by not having a full AIO. I hope you understand my reasoning for doing it the way it is.
All it takes to combine them into one package on the user's end is to download all the files, extract them into a folder, delete all the plugins, add this AIO plugin, and then repack it with 7zip for their own installation convenience.
It is probably not difficult, but for people who do not speak English, problems may arise. It can be easy to get confused. Therefore, no. This is too hard for me.
I know that I missed changing the inventory/ground item. The body model should work fine. Unless I missed that in one of the versions as well. In that case it would help a lot to know which version you're using. The inventory/ground item is noted and will be fixed once I add the next item.
Yeah, sorry. More info would've been helpful. 3.0 USSEP. Looking at it in the CK, it appears that the male model texture info is missing (or the path is broken) in ArmorAddon. Not sure if it's the same with the non-USSEP version.
Checked the USSEP version as well as the regular version. The ArmorAddon is pointing to the correct file (AveED\Jewelry\Jiub\AmuletM_1.nif), weight silder is enabled, so there shouldn't be any issues. Do you have the latest version my Locket of Saint Jiub? Because the male version was just recently added. During the process, I fixed the issue with the male ground/inventory model, but will wait for your feedback in case I missed something else.
I reinstalled the USSEP version just to be sure. When I open the ArmorAddon in the CK and select the male "AveED\Jewelry\Jiub\AmuletM_1.nif" model, the only thing under textures is "Marker_Error:0", and the preview window has a giant exclamation mark.
And yes, I have the 1.1 version of the locket with the esp disabled.
EDIT: Reinstalled the Locket v1.1 a few times with different options in the FOMOD and discovered that the male "AmuletM_0" and "AmuletM_1" nifs are not installed unless you select the SOS option - which I hadn't done since I don't use any male body customizers.
Thanks, I never thought there was a demand for that. I have already done a couple of them, but only for personal use. Anyhow going to check what I have laying around... About additional gemstones, not really into adding something new, but going to check if I'm going to support other mods which add new gemstones, like bruma for instance.
From the players Ive had conversations with, and as collectors of those flawless little beauties, we all agree that if someone were to re-do them, it would be a top download for sure.. I havnt seen anything remotely close to your diamond, its clean, its cut as if it was real.. and dont get me started on the Jiub locket, that piece is an absolute work of art.
Why are all the rings set to be visible on Argonians and not on the "Default Race"? I made a patch in SSEEdit for myself assigning them to the "Default Race" and now they are showing correctly on my custom dunmer from CotR
Thank you. Also, I was digging through vanilla amulet records and noticed that a lot of amulets set by default to Argonians but showing up on custom races as normal, so you did nothing wrong, unmodded amulets work this way but replaced amulets for some reason don't. I don't know why
Thank you, now all rings and amulets seem to work properly. I just have a question about male version of Jiub's Locket. For it to show I have to generate meshes with BodySlide, but I don't use SOS or HIMBO. I just don't like how they look. I use SAM Light. So how do I generate meshes for it? For other amulets you just included male meshes in download and they look fine on SAM Light
Good question, normally I would say go with the SOS version, but since I have himbo versions now (more to come) I took a quick search and found a himbo to sam bodyslide, maybe that helps. But you can go with the SOS version because (most) of my male versions are made for SOS. If they look good on SAM light, you can save time to generate the bodyslides.
