Not a hard requirement, but this mod was tested using VRIK. Recommended.

This is an adjustment of the meshes provided by MikeNZ666's amazing Sighted Crossbows VR mod. The original looks cool, but I had troubles with them because they were too complicated for my taste. I found they really got in the way of what I was trying to aim at. Not only that, but they weren't sighted properly in my game. I wanted something matching the simple vanilla model, but I needed a way to quickly check if the crossbow is lined up with the target. I think these do that job quite well. All I did was load the meshes in Nifscope, removed the modern-looking aperture parts of the sights, and adjusted them to look more medieval and simplistic.
This mod was tested using VRIK, so I highly recommend using that mod too. Although, you're probably using it already if you play VR :)
This is not compatible with any mod that changes the crossbow mesh, but textures will work fine. If you want to use a mod that changes crossbow meshes, like Frankly HD Dawnguard Armor and Weapons, then just let my mod overwrite it.
NOTE: I made sure to take the time to properly sight these in for my game. I'm not sure if they will be sighted in for everyone else, though. I found that the bolt's trajectory is not quite aligned with the center of the crossbow, so if you look closely, you'll see that the front sight is not perfectly in the center. It should be pretty damn accurate at medium range, so please let me know if it's not lined up properly for you.
