Creation Club - Better Shadowrend

Shadowrend is a Creation Club content for Skyrim Special Edition that adds the eponymous Shadowrend weapon. There are two versions of the weapon, a greatsword and a battleaxe, but you can only possess one at a time. Upon installation, the quest Through a Glass, Darkly will begin and you will be directed to a geyser pool in Eastmarch. After completing the quest, you can return to the geyser at any time to switch between the two versions of the weapon. It was released on April 5, 2018 for 300 CC Credits.

To obtain the legendary Shadowrend – an enchanted sword or battleaxe of tremendous power – you need only face the most worthy foe imaginable: yourself.

Quest by Richard "unoctium" Edwards.

Why this mod?

I found the original enchantment of the otherwise cool animated Shadowrend to be relatively useless, so I adjusted the enchantment.

What does the mod do?

This simple mod increases the original enchantment and adds new effects.

The Weakness to Magic effect has been increased to 100 percent and 30 points of frost damage have been added. Furthermore, Shadowrend now traps souls for 20 seconds.

The Weakness to Magic increases to a total of 150 percent and the frost damage to 45 points if both levels of the "Augmented Frost" perk are unlocked in the Destruction skill tree.

Changes in version 1.1:

The battleaxe version of Shadowrend now uses a different enchantment. Instead of frost damage and soul trap, it does 30 points of shock damage and there is a chance to paralyze the target for 15 seconds. The Weakness to Magic increases to a total of 150 percent and the shock damage to 45 points if both level of the "Augmented Shock" perk are unlocked in the Destruction skill tree. I made this change to make the choice between the two versions much more interesting.
