The one thing I can't wrap my head around with people's gripes about Lydia's new moral objection system is why you're even bringing Lydia to do the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood anyway, especially since you can just dismiss her temporarily to avoid the moral objection. Those quests require lots of sneaking and maintaining a low footprint, and Lydia is a combat-focused follower who wears heavy armor. She sucks for stealth quests. Followers in general suck for stealth quests.
So, a challenge I propose is for any one of you who has a problem with Lydia's moral objection system to complete the quest "Loud and Clear" (the one where you break into Goldenglow Estate) with (vanilla) Lydia as your follower and upload a video of it to YouTube. Link it here afterwards. If you can manage it, I'll add an MCM option to disable the moral objection system, and I won't even use it as an opportunity to chastise you for not accepting the consequences of your actions.
Rules: -You can't kill any of the mercenaries guarding Goldenglow Estate. -You need to burn the 3 beehives and clear out Aringoth's safe. -You can't have Lydia wait anywhere for more than 1 minute (having her wait would defeat the whole point of the challenge) -You can't turn Lydia invisible, use calm spells, or use voice of the emperor. -You CAN cheat your sneak skill (or any skill) to 100 if you're starting a new playthrough or use "setstage mq105 1" to instantly unlock Lydia as a follower, or cheat yourself some invisibility potions -You can't use any mods that drastically change stealth mechanics, like sneak tools. -You can't tcl your way through walls, disable the guards, or do anything extremely cheaty like that.
Ultimately, the point here is to prove to me that bringing Lydia with you is not detrimental to stealth quests. Again, I'll add an MCM option to disable the moral rejection system if any of you can manage it.
So the reason I had the voicelines not working was really dumb, somehow the Bijins Warmaidens patch was not activated in my Mod Manager. Works like a charm now!
Very good mod, a lot of attention to detail. One piece of criticism:
Lydia often talks when other NPCs are talking, so it's hard to hear what both are saying. Sometimes Lydia will interrupt conversations with other NPCs in the main quest, then when I try to finish those conversations with them, hers will be unavailable.
I would say that's a problem with Skyrim NPCs in general. I had a Falkreath Guard interrupt Durak's recruitment dialog to ask to me if I've seen any dogs.
It would be better if mod author had a debate on morality and who wins will get this option in MCM. While reading the rules of the challenge it was quite funny how Thoghart completed this challenge as a result XD
So I was doing some more in-depth testing, had joined the thieves guild and dark brotherhood (tbh in large part just for the armors lol) and then got around to getting Lydia as a housecarl. She instantly got on me about the thieves guild and then left, without having done any thieves guild quests with her or anything. It admittedly would have been nice to have a "Hey, didn't know that would be a problem, i'll stop working with them" dialogue option that would keep her as a follower as long as you don't continue those quest lines. I get the moral objection system but it would be nice to be able to say "hey, sorry i'll stop" and let her at least give you a chance to be true to your word and stop.
...also ngl i'm not sure how she even knew I was in the thieves guild, unless it was the fact I had the armor in my inventory (not worn). Like I said we hadn't even left Dragonsreach yet.
Love the mod thank you. I started another playthrou and became a vampire now Lydia says I want nouthing to do with you , is there a way to get her back?
Go back to Dragonsreach, persuade her, kill the vampires in Broken Fang Cave, and don't bring her back to Castle Volkihar. If you romanced her and want her back, you gotta go seen Falion in Morthal.
Hi there, It seems that I'm having problems with some of the audio during my first interactions with Lydia. There are times where it sounds like the mic is getting blown out. I'm unsure as to whether I've installed the mod incorrectly and corrupted some of the audio files or if this is just how it sounds.

There are other more minor ones but they aren't as glaring.
This mod looks awesome with a lot of attention to detail, really wanna get it. But does anyone know if it needs a patch for the Dibella's Blessing version of Lydia?
I love this mod it makes Lydia have a personality rather than being a terminator that follows you around.
I have a problem though. Lydia keeps doing the dialogue about not using spells very often even though I am a mage and fight exclusively with magic. It is kind of immersion breaking as I constantly use magic and she keeps obliviously saying I don't. I don't know if this is a bug or oversight. If is not a bug I think this needs either some kind of check to make sure that magic skills are not your highest skills or the line rewritten to express that your are bad at magic not that you don't use it.
Also its not really a problem but it would be nice if there was a more humble option at the beginning when she claims you didn't kill the dragon, as when talking to the jarl right before they give you some slightly more humble options, and if you are playing with a lot of difficulty mods and/or at a high difficulty setting you often end up not being able to contribute much to the dragon fight, so acting like it was you who killed it is a bit disingenuous.
Lydia comments on you having low magic skills if all your magic skills are under a certain level. You can disable "low skill comments" in MCM.
Your point about the humble dialogue option is a good idea. It's easier to coordinate new voice lines in large batches rather than a la carte, so that likely won't come until the next update.

UPDATE: Beaten by Nexus User Thoghart:

and why was the MCM option added because of it?

Congrats, Thoghart
UPD: nevermind I was inattentive)

Her response is silent, are there no audio files for that line or it is just a random bug?
