So it seems he fixed the spelling error, =] ... also there is a duplicatate here, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/80150 ...
so I found a bug after I read the book hallgerds tale in the companions hall, after 100xp, it said I had leveled up (tutorial type message), but I had not, but it lets me, shows message about how to level up with the perk etc, after leveling I was advanced to level 2. Not a huge deal but I am just FYI reporting, likely coded into the tutorial messages, does it happen with just skill books or not not sure. Anyways there it is... probably not an issue after first level up...
Oops nevermind. I guess what I did was load a game right after I made a previous character (at helgen right after dragon shows up). Didn't think it would matter, but it does. You have to start new game, 100% new game. My bad.
It's very easy to make your own changes in xedit for a custom base amount and multiplier amount. See pic below where I'm using 450 for the base and 20 for the multiplier:

This gives a very slow progression but gradually gets close to vanilla around level 50. I created a spreadsheet so that I could experiment with my own values and compare them to vanilla and to the default values in this mod:
I put the spreadsheet online here so anyone can download and use it to check their own values. Just plug in your own 2 values in the right-hand side for MY AMOUNTS and it will auto-calculate the values for you in the MY AMOUNTS column.
Yes, well done. It is indeed pretty easy to make one of these yourself. I encourage everyone to try their own. Just remember to start a new character after installing or the levelling will be messed up.
After trying this mod I feel like 175 or 200 or so would be a better starting level, going to try that out. Will check your spreadsheet. =]
Does it matter much no it's mainly just first level, don't want to be at too long.
Interesting how, I mean it seems like this (requiring more xp to level) could make the game a bit easier overall, as your weaponskills could be higher than they would normally be at said level.
Too bad you have to start a new char when changing.
Hahaha you beat me to it. He mispelled it on purpose to make the name unique? LOL
Funny thing Glanser I noticed you are using an Avatar of the... Avatar... that is funny because I have used that U6 box cover avatar in quite a few forums, I have never seen anyone else use it until now. It is one of my favorite artworks from the cover of one of my favorite games of all time and the game that got me into computer games as a kid! You didn't steal my idea though right LOL... I think I may have used that one long ago on here, before I switched to pirate Cartman. YARRR. Anyways that is a coincidence. Love me some U6. Actually I have that box with the cloth map and the Compendium and everything that was so awesome that came with that game. My freinds mom threw his copy away LOL (can u believe?) and I couldn't get it any other way so bought it on eBay complete for way too much $$$, but I love it. It makes me have a nostalgia nerd-gasm every time I look at it. I even like the smell of it LOL. Cool story bro right?
Hiya masternoxx, yeah I played the whole Ultima series until 7 or 8. I ended up selling several of the sets complete on ebay, so maybe you bought them from me? hahaha I don't remember putting a high price on them though. I remember when U6 came out, it was on of the first games with VGA graphics and our jaws dropped when we saw how great the game looked. And the music was awesome too.
I was obsessed with that game stayed up literally all night playing it and reading the Compendium LOL. The bestiary so awesome, looking at the map, etc. That was the first PC game I ever got obsessed with. Funny thing was my friend had a version of that game (there were over 100 versions/ patches it went thru all lost to time) where the text help defaulted to "off" therefore there weren't any hints when talking to NPC's! And the game seemed limitless and super mysterious! Like it was designed by a god or something! LOL. You could type in anything and they might or might not respond who knows? When we read the instructions and in little letters it said all NPC's respond to "name, job, bye" it was like a huge breakthrough LOL. Also was super into ultima 7 although I still like 6 better. Also played 8 did not beat it, also played 9 numerous times (almost beat it but then it glitched my save). Also a pretty big fan of Prince of Persia 1 for pc. I did make a patch it was pretty difficult, using powershell, to turn off the (default on now, every time you open the game) text help / red keywords and then I finally beat the game U6 few years ago without any spoilers or help or red keywords, had to map out the dungeons on paper which are huge. Tried that Savage empire game few times lately with my help off patch, it's pretty good with a U6 feel however I keep getting stuck can't finish the game, don't want to cheat and look up the answer on the net... That is why I like the TES games they are very similar with the large world and seemingly limitless play, although that is an illusion to some extent. They just need to implement type-in conversations with no hints or toggle and sweet hand drawn face artwork like U6. =) Not even joking that would be sweet. Realism so overrated in games.
Tried a few different versions none of them text help defaulted to off, I tried and tried to find that version but no luck, even called my friends mom to try and buy her copy, no luck, had to make a patch
Very nice and needed mod, thanks! Yeah just started the game, hacked down a bandit, cast raise on the body and hacked him down again and went up to level 3.5 in like 20 seconds! What was B thinking? They just want people to be like DERRR I leveled up DERRR I'm making progress this is fun DERRR.... If this game is anything like previous TES games low level loot will stop appearing quick at higher levels really chafing my willy of an OCD item collector like myself. (not sure if it is like previous TES games in that way but probably. Don't want to find out later like in Morrowind and Oblivion that I should've leveled slower to collect all the stuff, then have to start over again.) The Slow Down-SID is definitely much closer to how I think leveling should have been.
I really like the idea of the SID setting. Ive had many play thoughs and the challenge of low level and the climb up is always whats fun for me but too often i find myself at level 100 way too early because i love alchemy and crafting, sneaking, collecting books etc
I am planning on using a .05 skill leveling mod (level skills at half speed). Would people recommend the slow and stead version or the slowdown version? Which one "feels" better in your opinion?
If you have SSEEdit, its pretty easy to change the level speed. Run SSEEdit, and open the Slow and Steady esp. Then Game settings. fXPLevelUpBase is how much xp for the first level. Mult is how much is added every level. change the float value under level rate to whatever you want to change the base and mult.
That was intentional. IF you want it to be slower during endgame, use slowdown.
Slow and steady is meant to keep it about the same amount of experience in the early game as in the endgame, with only a slight steady increase every level.

I think the issue was with the mod, that allowed u to lvl up only after sleep
