Changelogs
This is a port of the "Detailed Cities" mod by Dex, on Steam Workshop. It includes new bugfixes and tweaks. This is a very lightweight minimalist city overhaul that adds trees, plants, and other clutter to the walled cities, while staying close to the vanilla look.

This is ideal for users who do not want a full sized city overhaul, but still want a little more detail in their cities, with virtually no performance loss.
Also ideal if you just want some trees in Whiterun, but don't like how the other mods add way too many large trees to Whiterun.

2 versions available
Detailed Cities SE: the original version with some tweaks and bugfixes. Includes some street lighting.
Detailed Cities SE - no lights: same as above, but with all lighting edits removed for better compatibility with lighting mods (like ELFX Exteriors)

Features
Whiterun - adds many trees, shrubs and clutter (barrels etc). More extensively edited than the other cities. Optionally adds more brazier lights.
Riften - adds a few trees, and some shrubs and clutter. Optionally adds street lanterns and wall mounted torches.
Markarth - adds a small amount of additional shrubs and clutter. Optionally adds dwemer themed brazier lights.
Solitude - adds a small amount of trees and shrubs.
Windhelm - adds a tiny amount of shrubs and barrels.

This mod also adds a smelter, tanning rack, workbench, and fast travel marker to the Skyforge, and adds a smelter to solitude's blacksmith.

Porting / technical info
As part of the porting process, it now has form 44, has been cleaned both automatically and by hand with xEdit, has had USSEP changes forwarded, and has had some tweaks made to improve item placement and compatibility.
This mod does not touch the navmesh. The navmesh that originally came with the 2012 version of this mod was removed, as it had wild edits, and was only really needed for a few items that have been removed in this port (most items this mod adds have no collision or are away from paths and small enough that they do not interfere with NPC navigation).

Compatibility
Given the lightweight nature of this mod, it should be compatible with nearly everything.
However, it should not be used with other city overhaul mods -  if you use another mod that adds or moves items in the cities, you may see some objects intersecting each other.
If you use any mods that add lights to the cities, I recommend the "no lights" version, as otherwise you may get flickering-light bugs due to too many lights being added.
The latest version includes a rule file for DynDOLOD users to prevent problems with tree LOD in Whiterun.

Installation / Uninstalling
Same as any other basic mod. It is safe to add or remove this mod mid-playthrough.
Load order should not matter, but if in doubt, put this mod near the top of your load order.

Support
This mod is considered "final". No updates are planned, except possibly to fix bugs or update patches, as this will primarily remain just a port of the Steam Workshop mod.
