I feel like this is some sort of back lighting issue. What I recommended is using Icy Caves Remastered for ice caves, and use Skyrim Remastered Caves for all other caves. Just disable the plugin in Skyrim Remastered Caves, and load it before Icy Caves Remastered. Best of both.
More to that point, are the "new icicles" compatible with the Parallax versions of this mod, or are they only non-parallax replacement meshes and textures? Thank you kindly for ANYONE answering this
+1, Im a noob on parallax, but there's a (iceiclesomething)parallax.dds texture file in that download, so should be for the parallax version but I wonder if it's compatible with the non-parallax if I remove the parallax texture or if I muck it up? =P
Really nice textures. For VR, I wish there was an 8K option though as parallax on 4k takes away quite a bit of details. Nonetheless, best cave textures hands down.
no and on lux discord for 5.0 it now says caves remastered not supported i was talking to him about it as there was major graphic glitches when using this mod due to his meshes for lighting
just go into the folder and delete anything that is green cave and not in ice folder, i also use the patch https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67266 which covers the meshes to make work with lux and make sure to delete any that say "green". I now have this great ice cave mod (the best) working with lux and it looks phenomenal
I'm getting plain black textures in caves - which go away when this mod is unchecked. I have the shader fix correctly installed and nothing is overwriting your cave textures. The shaderlog is not throwing up any errors. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, I just don't know what.
I think I'm having the same issue. When I enter a cave there's just a pitch black or white texture. It's just at the entrances though. I tried reinstalling and checking if things are overwritten correctly. Nothing works D:
For future reference, add CaveGBoulderL04.nif to the list of bugged meshes. I found this one glitched in Haemar's Cavern next to a table/chair and group of bookshelves.
For me, I'm having an issue with the caves/green/rocks/*boulder*.nifs for parallax. I'm using ELFX, and these meshes are not included in the ELFX patch. They look bright orange.
As a workaround, you can load the offending meshes in nifskope and remove ShinyDull_e.dss from the texture set to resolve the black texture issue. Not sure what's exactly causing this, but this is good enough
caveiboulderl01.nif is missing texture (I'm using Skyrim Remastered - Caves 2K Non Parallax) Don't know if the issue is on my side so I'm posting it here.

This isn't just on your end; I had this issue as well (though I am using the parallax version). Thank you for commenting with the screenshot as I would have had no idea which mod was causing this to happen. I noticed it in Broken Oar Grotto; there are multiple meshes that have this issue, it seems. Unfortunately, I'm not smart enough to know why it's happening. The textures included in the meshes' paths in Nifskope are all there.
The ice caves are definitely breathtaking ! But for the green caves, I think Parallax version is a hard requirement, otherwise it looks really weird. Since this mod's changed some texture pattern of green caves (and doesn't follow the pattern of the mesh), it would looks flat like a painting without Parallax.
If you don't want to use Parallax, then you may remove the green caves part from this mod and use other mods for that part. Just personal thoughts though.

I'm guessing this means that Lux is already using the meshes from this, so perhaps a patch isn't really needed.

I'm using this mod as a base, it contains mines: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45135
Outdated info, delete.Don't know if the issue is on my side so I'm posting it here.

Hiding the mesh in question seemed to solved it
