While there are plenty of mods that alter Skyrim's unarmed combat, there are very few that alter the fists' statistics themselves. I find this unfortunate, as there are a few inherent properties within the Fist Weapons that make them feel clunky and unreliable. This mod aims to fix that by changing a few of these stats, as well as resolving some errors related to the unarmed attack data in the Race records.

  • *Dual Wield Power Attacks with fists now correctly deal 1.5x damage, in line with dual wield weapon power attacks
  • *Dual Wield Power Attacks with fists now have 0.5 Stagger Mult (up from 0), in line with single handed fist power attacks
  • *Dual Wield Power Attacks with Fists now correctly use 50% stamina cost per attack, in line with dual wield weapon power attacks. This means that dual wield fist power attacks will use 1.5x the stamina cost of a standard power attack overall, as opposed to the 3x stamina consumption of vanilla
  • *Fixed numerous inconsistencies within the races' Attack Records.
  • Silent Attacks: Attacking with fists raised no longer alerts nearby NPCs to your position.

*See Compatibility - Race Edits for compatibility info
Compatibility
Silent Attacks
The "Silent Attacks" are achieved by editing the players NPC record. Any mod that also edits this record will require a patch. Fortunately, very few mods touch this record.
This change is also incompatible with mods that place invisible "Fist Weapons" on the player, such as SPERG, or Phendrix Magic World's Elemental Fighter weapons. Using these mods is OK (with version 3.0+) but your attacks will start alerting enemies again.
-SPERG users can use the old 2.1 version, which contains a compatibility patch for SPERG, but I don't recommend using SPERG anymore as it has pretty significant compatibility issues with a lot of mods.
*Race Edits
Any mods that are edit the vanilla playable races are incompatible with my race edits (Marked with an * in the feature list)
-These compatibilities *might* be resolvable with a Smash Patch, but I haven't tested if it patches attack data
-Morningstar - Minimalistic Races of Skyrim is compatible, as it doesn't edit the race records themselves, only their powers
-I have provided a version for Combat Gameplay Overhaul in the installer.
Any mods that add new playable races (Such as the Half-Beast Visuals plugin for Growl) are not compatible with this part of the mod.
