Changelogs
Version 2.0
Overhauled the conditions and folders from scratch, for OAR, differently than the initial file provided by troubadore11. This new structure should make it easier for me to customize the settings and tweak as necessary, since it's DAR-style. Previous style was good, but I couldn't get used to it.
Similar to previous Randomized versions, all animations have 25% chance of playing, and if none are chosen, vanilla animations should play.
Moved all the previous main files that utilized DAR to the Old Files section. While I'll keep them up just in case some people want to access them, they will no longer be updated or supported from now on!
Version 1.6
OAR version kindly provided by troubadore11. Please give them a kudos!
This version is currently untested by myself, but it should work fine as a base. If it has any conflicts with other OAR mods in terms of priorities, you should be able to adjust it in the in-game OAR menu.
Previous files were slightly renamed because of Nexus' new 50 character limit for file names. The files themselves are unchanged.
Version 1.5
Added a new main file to be used alongisde Modern Female Sitting Animations Overhaul by SonderBain.
If you also use NPC Animation Remix alongside MFSAO, it may not fix the issue of the former mod taking over the latter in terms of priorities. For full compatibility with all three mods, SonderBain may need to change their folder names to be even higher in priority than CHIM's
Version 1.4.1
Added a new main file for compatibility with CHIMgarden's NPC Animation Remix. If you use their mod, and want the randomized Jarl animations, use this version of the main file instead of the regular Randomized.
Version 1.4
The main Randomized file may not work if you enabled Gender Specific Animations on Nemesis\FNIS. I fixed this by duplicating the animation files within gender folders as well, so that it should work both for people who use or don't use Gender Specific Animations. I'm unsure how long this has been happening, since I haven't encountered this issue until recently, but the latest version should get rid of this issue.
Version 1.3
Fixed folder numbering for the main file (Randomized). I made the mistake of putting the numbers higher than the limit by DAR, so none of the new animations could play. It should work now!
Version 1.2
Changed the folder numbering so it doesn't conflict with Attack Behavior Revamp. Previous updated condition math included.
Only one Main File: Randomized All, which includes all 3 new animations while allowing vanilla animation to be played as well. It was the most popular download, so I decided to trim my page down. All "vanilla" replacers have been moved to the Optional Files.
Removed some less downloaded files, again, to tidy up the page.
Version 1.1.1
Added updated conditions for all Randomized files, using a different math formula to determine probability of animation. Please try this out if you're using any of the Randomizer files. Credits to Llyarc for the suggestions! You can read the details in the Sticky Post conversation.
Version 1.1.0
Added two new animations along with their three replacer formats (Vanilla, FNIS, DAR)
Added two new main files: "Randomized All" or "Randomized All (Alternate)." Using DAR's condition system, all three animations have about equal chance to play! Read the main description or the file descriptions for more details. A third file, "Randomized Player-only," has been added to the Optional Files section.
In the Misc files, I've included a few "Tweaks" files that may help with certain issues, kindly provided by Xtudo. They aren't perfect fixes but it could work for you if you encounter the things said in "Known Issues."
I always loved the animation used by Arch Curate Vyrthur as he's sitting on his throne. It's a nice balance between imposing and relaxed, and doesn't look as goofy as the default Jarl sitting animation to me. Therefore, I used Bethesda Archive Extractor to extract the animation from the BSA, and then replace it by renaming it. Very simple. FEATURES All 3 animations are randomized thanks to Open Animation Replacer, each with a 25% chance of playing. If none of them gets chosen, vanilla animation will be played instead.
You can tweak the other settings too, if you want. Consult OAR's mod page for more information
Optional Files The following files do not require OAR
Gender Specific: Choose between replacing it only for Male characters or Female characters. Affects all NPCs of the chosen gender. REQUIRESFores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE or Nemesis. Remember to check and run GENDER Specific Animations in patcher.
Vanilla: Simple default replacer
Old Files The following are legacy files that will not receive any support, but I keep them up for people who may want to use them.
Player-Only: Replaces the animation only for the player with one of the 3 selection. Not randomized.
NPC Animation Remix (DAR) -- SEMI-COMPATIBLE, as NPC AR adds its own modified Jarl sitting animation based on vanilla ones. However, since they use DAR, my mod will take priority. The rest of their mod will still work, since it covers way more.
KNOWN ISSUES These animations aren't mine, so I won't be making any modifications to them specifically. You, however, are free to do so, as long as it follows Bethesda's own guidelines.
Arms may look floaty because the Jarl's chairs don't exactly have high arms. This affects even the normal Jarl animation.
With Animation 01, some minor clipping may occur on certain chairs, such as Windhelm's Palace of the Kings throne.
The start up animation will show the character using the default Jarl pose, but immediately switching after they're fully sitting.
CREDITS
Bethesda for making these animations. I don't own any of it.
