I feel the exact opposite. I added a player home, a weapon, and this dungeon to Riverwood. Now, I have a home where I can makes saves and load all my mods, I added a weapon nearby that's a decent starter weapon, then I added this dungeon so I can clear it for a decent set of armor.
^^It's perfect for starting a new game if you want gear with decent specs and looks from the get-go.
The difficulty is perfect IMO! I usually run around solo and careless like Rambo, but these NPC's require me to take caution. I just died (I am low level), but I'm coming back full bore for those necromancers. Next time I'm bringing potions.
For those wondering, although I am at the beginning, the mod seems great so far .

What is the armor? Or, is it supposed to be a surprise?
EDIT: P.S. First comment ;) WOOT! WOOT!
