Mod works great, but how do we rename the animations for the wheel? Its a little tricky to remember which animation I put in, say, group 4 - anim 6 etc. Is there a way I can name them in the in-game wheel?

Edit: Also, is it possible to use animations that include an object (like writing in a book or reading an elder scroll), and have the object show up in the animation?

I can't get this to work. I don't see any errors or anything. I also switched over to nemesis just to try this mod out and it just doesn't work. I can pull up the mcm menu. Tick all the options on. patch fnis or nemesis on deploy mod (when i switched over to nemesis and uninstalled fnis because they can't work together obviously). Other mods would work when this doesnt. I put the files in the proper location 313011 would be like group 1 slot 1 etc. Changed the interface folders. i know how it works. I read the instructions carefully. What i get in game after all that is a wheel and the slots that are named correctly. But when i select them, my character just crouches for a short period of time. Yes i have dynamic animation replacer dll. I"m using vortex. I'm renaming the hkx files and placing em in C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods\CIWM Custom Idle WheelMenu SE-37714-1-10-1593228024\meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions\3130xx\CustomIdleWheelMenu. This updates the in game folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\actors\character\Animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions\3130xx\CustomIdleWheelMenu. I thought i covered every stupid mistake. Please tell me i didn't. Its really bugging the hell out of me.

Late response but in case it helps anyone, there is a Loop animation and a Basic animation file. If you replace an animation you should rename it "CIWM_LoopIdle" or "CIWM_BasicIdle". Let's assume you replaced the "CIWM_LoopIdle" in file 313001. Then in the MCM Menu,  you enable "Loop" animation for slot 0 animation no 1 which should play your animation.

    (from LE mod page)
    For FNIS Users:

     a) go to "Data\tools" Path, find and click "GenerateFNIS_for_Modders.exe", open and click "Generate Mod Behaviour".

    ?

    ?

     b) Navigate to "Data\meshes\actors\Character\animations\CustomIdleWheelMenu" folder, select and open "FNIS_CustomIdleWheelMenu_List" TXT file.  As the picture shown below.

    ?
    ?

     c) If you saw the same messages are shown like the picture below, that means your operation is correct.

    ?

          d) Open "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe"(the red one), and update FNIS behaviour.

It worked! This should be pinned on the top!

Also, for MO2 users: just add FNIS for Modders as an executable like you do with FNIS for Users and SKSE64, then launch it on the Virtual Machine as usual and locate the game installation, and there follow these instructions.

I do not know what causes this. All I know is that ciwm_mcmmenuquestscript script was causing INSANE script lag and filling papyrus with errors constantly

For some odd reason the wheel doesn't show up for me. It's in MCM, and I hotkeyed it. I also ran FNIS and Generate FNIS for modders like the LE mod instructions said. All my other FNIS mods work, but the hotkey doesn't do anything. I have SkyUI, UIextensions and DynamicAR
I would prefer not to switch to nemesis, considering this is the only mod that I would need it for. Did I install UIextensions or DynamicAR wrong?
    FNIS shows no errors.
Seems like a cool mod, wish I could endorse. Help appreciated
