Extensible Follower Framework has been my go-to follower manager for years now, it's simple, efficient and very powerful.  It allows you to recruit any NPC in the game, allowing you to recruit, tweak and manage a small army of followers.  I highly recommend it!

However one small annoyance is that in order to recruit a follower you have to open its MCM menu and grind through several different menu screens to get to the "recruit" option.  For so long now I've thought to myself "wouldn't it be great if there was a spell or hotkey I could use instead!".

So I got off my lazy butt and did something about it.  Here is the result.  The spell actually has a nice reach and works just like a direct shock spell... so you can get hostile NPCs from a distance without having to tinker with TAI, TGM console commands etc during combat.  (Just be careful who you aim it at, if you forget to save and hit important quest NPCs you might break stuff.)

The spell is called "EFF Recruit Follower", and can be found on Farengar's desk in Dragonsreach.  Alternately you can simply add the spell with the console by typing "help eff recruit" to gain access to the spell tome or the spell directly.

The plugin file is .esl-flagged so it won't take up a plugin slot in your load order.

I don't care about endorsements or whatever, just please endorse EFF, the original file, if you are using it and have forgotten to do so.  This mod literally took me about four minutes to make, it doesn't deserve endorsements... EFF does, I cannot fathom how long it must have taken to put that powerhouse of a mod together!  It really is amazing.  DO EET!  DO EET NAAAAOOOO!  GET TO THA CHOPPAHHH!  *yeeaahhaahuueuawawaahhaah (arnie grunts)*
