for most people asked questions: 1. Q: In the XP32 installer there are still patches for older verion of this mod (Guardian or Weapon Master), if I'm using PCA - Weapon Master, should I choose the corresponding patch or none?
A: xpmse installer contain my pca preset animations option, but it should from previous (old) version, my recommended is skip it, ofcouse you always have your own choice. you may think the previous version is better!? Idk.
2. Q:I am recommended to disabling all style fitting animations within XPMSE MCM, Does that mean no more random styles among NPC if using PCA?
A: If you a advanced user, you can manually drop my pca file in to xpmse animation folder if you know how to arrange them. And you can even defined my animations to your own dar folder/dar condition/making your own random animations setup, you can re-defined what animations only for player use, what animations only for npc use, what for male, what for female etc....
for more detail, please check dar nexus page description.
I've officially given up. I tried and tried to get this mod to work properly but nothing works. At first it wouldn't put the sword and shield in the right place, I fixed that. Then it wouldn't play the right animations for anything, it just used the default animation for the drawing and sheathing of the weapon and shield. I've spent two days researching and trying different mods and patches, I've done not one, not two, but five clean installs of everything, I've tried every setting and patch and it still won't work. So I'm done, I've tried to use your mod so hard and all I've got to show for it is a pile of shit. No blame to you, however, I'm entirely sure that the fault lies with me and me alone; I'm just not smart enough for this..
my reply may helpless to you, but may be, I mean may be, possibility, you are using se (64bit) format hkx on le (32bit)? or reversed, if you are using wrong animations format(".HKX") on wrong gaming environment, no matter how hard u try, it will never get work as normal.
I hope that is not the issue cause you stucking here. ^_^"
the problem you could be facing is that this mod requires "Dynamic Animation Replacer" for it to work, however the mod author has not updated it yet so that could be the issue you may be having on why its not working. I'm not saying I'm right about it. It could be many other things, but that's the problem I'm having right now, at least.
This mod requires Dynamic Animation Replacer to work properly, and that mod hasn't been updated to AE, so if you're playing on AE, this mod and any mod from this author (usually tagged PCA for Pretty Combat Animations) isn't going to work unfortunately.
One of the downsides of relying on a mod as a framework is when that framework stops working, all your mods stop working.
Just started a new playthrough with this and I've got a weird animation bug. Apologies in advance since I'm not even 100% confident that this is the mod causing the problem, but I don't have any other mods that affect these types of animations.
When using a bow, the character will grab an arrow and just kinda hold it to their side by the head, and when crouching the arm holding the arrow will sink into the body, while the bow arm will extend, resulting in this weird crab pose.
since i was forced to rebuild my mod list i was about to try mods i never tried before but since i cant use dar (based on the toxicity of that comment section its an if not a when) so i came running back to one of my favorite mods since oldrim. so i just wanted to say thanks
Hi. Maybe someone can give me hand of help with converting this mod to non-dar? I'm going to use it on female only. If I'm correct, process is in moving .hkx files from, for example: 03 karate 01\meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions\16030198 to 03 karate 01\meshes\actors\character\animations ?
But, when I'm going here: 05 crossbow\meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions I can see 2 folders - 16030103 and 16030104. How should I select correct for fem PC?
And in 06 ranger\meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions There are already 3 folders =(
This looks so nice but i just cant get the 2h sword to work properly.. i tried out a bunch of animation mods and this is by far my favourite, sadly it still plays vanilla animations (upright 2h sword) when strafing, walking and when i stop running. So it keeps flicking the blade to the vanilla stance which is terribly annoying. I might have some mods uninstalled that left some animations in some folders, i cant really tell where what goes. I looked at the file structure but couldn't figure out where the files in the data folder went, or where they should be.
I tried with both FINIS and Nemesis (with the FINIS esp enabled) and with xpmsse, according to the description but no luck.
I'd be happy to clear out all animations other mods left in folders, but i don't know which i can delete and which are vanilla ones that i must not delete.
Would really love to use this, any help would be appreciated!
EDIT: So i managed to clear out all the animation folders and reinstalled everything from a clean save. Turns out it was all ok in the first place :P Apparently there are no animations for walking for the Warrior Style, i tried the Slayer style now and this has all the animations.. just a weird one for left strafe/walk where the sword flicks up again, not as much as in Warrior but still now sure why its not the same as walk left?
EDIT#2: Ok, so i finally fixed this problem using the Slayer style for 2h weapons by making a copy of 2hm_runstrafeleft.hkx and renaming that copy to 2hm_runstraferight.hkx, this file is located in ..\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations
This rectifies the problem with the sword flicking upwards when going left and coming to a halt, and even tho everything looks fine, there is some "ice skating" when walk-strafing to the right. Mind, you the legs move in the right direction, just some skating. I have no clue why the file was misnamed, (looks unfinished due to the skating) or if there is some other file that just doesn't get accessed properly by DAR.
This was about 6h of constantly uninstalling mods, reinstalling fresh, reading guides, reading forums, watching videos, moving, removing and replacing animation files and countless game restarts. Luckily im in home office and it's a slow day today :P This might have all worked properly in a previous release but sadly not in the current one (1.433)
No clue how to fix the Warrior 2h style, I tried the same method but no luck.
how did you fix the issue where the sword flicks up whenever you come to a halt? using Slayer style as well and tried to copy 2hm_runstrafeleft.hkx and renaming the copy to 2hm_runstraferight.hkx just like you did but it doesn't seem to do anything for me
Mod works great but one think I noticed is that the 2 handed "warrior" animations will revert to normal for a second whenever you stop moving, causing your character to just flicker between animations weirdly before they fully stop. Is there a way to fix this?
some idle animations need dar to sparate for specific gender. if you only play one gender, you can make non dar version, you just need to move those animations from dar folder to "animations" folder is ok.
Thank you @dualsun for this info. It can help with the DAR dependence while DAR is not working with NG.
@Akashiro are you asking me? i just quoted the message from @dualsun where he explains what to do.
I am not the best person to explain the process imagined by much more brilliant minds than mine.. But from my understanding, all animation files contained in the folders called "animation" will work without DAR. Animation files contained in the DAR folder will not work wihout DAR. You can move the animation files from Dar folder to Animation files and it will work without DAR.
The key point is that DAR allows to separate animation by gender. If you manually move the HKX files to the animation folder, it will be unable to separate animation for male or female. Meaning only put female animations if you play a lady or male animations if you play a guy. Cannot have both.
