I'm guessing that DAR isn't a suitable replacement for OAR with this mod. If that's the case, could I have both DAR and OAR? DAR for my DAR mods, and OAR for this mod? For clarification, I understand nothing about modding other than pressing the install button on Vortex xD

OAR should be able to run any DAR mod. So you only really need OAR. :3

Is there any way to add a condition so that the idles DON'T happen when you've got showracemenu open? Really annoying when the character puts their hand in front of their face when you are trying to make a change to the face.

My follower does the mod pose for 1 second before going back to the default pose.  Not sure why this is happening.  Anyone had this happen?

      I figured it out!

NPCs have multiple idle.hkx files. 34 in fact. You need to have ALL of these in your mod folder (or DAR folder if you use that). So copy and rename the idle.hkx file you want to use, 34 times lol (doing so for every one of these file names). Here is the complete list (you can also find it inside your Skyrim data folder). In the end, you'll have 34 copies of the same file, but with each of these file names.

The same goes for sitting animations (although there are only 10 there). Don't create files for enter/exit animations for sitting.

Where did you find all these files? I cannot find them in my Skyrim's data folder

They're in one of the BSAs (you need to unpack it with BAE). But you don't actually need the files, just their names (you can use the screenshot I provided). You're taking whatever idle.hkx file you want and copying it 34 times and then just renaming each copy to the names in that list. It's annoying and tedious (takes like 10 minutes), but it's the only way I've been able to solve this. I'm not sure if a batch file could automate the process.

      How I do it:

Install whatever idle animation mod you want. Open the mod folder and copy the mt_idle.hkx file.

Create an empty animation folder for your follower in OAR/DAR.

Paste the mt_idle.hkx file you copied into your OAR/DAR follower folder. Then rename the file to mt_idle_a_left_long.hkx.

Then paste the same mt_idle.hkx file again and rename this one to mt_idle_a_leg-shift.hkx.

After that you'll paste it again and name this one mt_idle_a_pull_pants.hkx.

      And so on.

Keep repeating this process until you have all the file names listed in that screenshot inside your OAR/DAR follower folder.

Now, any time your follower tries to activate one of those actions (which would cause them to revert to vanilla idles), they will use the new custom animation instead.

If you don't use DAR/OAR, then just do this same thing, but inside the Pretty Idle Animations mod folder. Right now, the folder will have just one file "mt_idle.hkx". You'll create 34 copies of that one file inside that folder.

I'm sure I did something wrong, but I keep reinstalling the mod to try and select an animation, but it keeps reverting to the "crossed arms" animation. I do have some mods that ad animations in a loop, but the crossed arms is the resting pose, regardless of what i select. does anyone know of a way to just completely remove/deactivate that animation?

Does this mod cycle through all the idle poses or do I have to choose only one in the installation?

Is there a way to have two versions of this mod, one that changes just the player's idle and one the changes NPC's idle? I wanna have these idles for NPCs but I wanna use a unique one for the player.
