I'm posting this sticky just to let people know that this mod is not born from a depreciative judgement of any mod or assets. I admit my description was rough when I first posted the mod and it may have sounded like that. It's been corrected to fully respect the work done in the original mods. I'm not trying to "improve" either, just making them blend better, since their underlying logic is pretty different.
You're welcome to share your opinion of this mod and whatever comes to mind, but I ask that you be considerate when doing so, understanding that authors usually have a reason for doing things the way they do.
This looks awesome! @godescalcus, Thank you for sharing your work! I am working now on a new LO and am looking forward to my first playthrough with LOTD. Does anyone happen to know if this mod will work with the patched combo of Drengin's BP Terrace & JK's BP? Thanks in advance.
They should work. This mod only adds static objects and stays mostly true to the footprint of the original museum. Navmeshed areas shouldn't be affected. Unless the patched combo also adds its own features to the LOTD museum, there shouldn't even be any clipping. Moreover, this mod stays mostly within the outer world cells (those in the Skyrim worldspace) and only touches the Solitude worldspace in the "alley" between the museum and the BP, to ensure consistency during the "night at the museum" quest.
It was Skyland Solitude, thank you so much. I spent so long looking through every texture pack I could find just for that roof texture. It looks so much better than the vanilla textures, thank you again, if not just for saving my sanity.
This mod doesn't touch landscape, it merely places a few static meshes.
So "this mod dont work" is the wrong thing to say. It's going on 2 years since the original upload and over a year since the latest update, nobody else mentioned having that issue, which is definitely on your end. Please check your load order. If you find that this mod conflicts with another mod that you might have, it would be useful to know about it.
Its funny because the first time I stepped up on that cool mara statue platform today and looked back at the LOTD museum, it looked so out of place I was ready to mod it, but figured I should check if anyone had yet, you did a great job on it.
Just uploaded a standalone (sort of - still requires LOTD) version that I can't test myself right away. If you'd like to test it I'll appreciate your feedback. Only change was the removal of BPT's edits to the exterior cell records, forwarding LOTD or Update.esm instead. It wouldn't even require LOTD as a master but I left it, as this mod would make no sense without it.
This is exactly what I was hoping for. At first I was all in for the Blue Palace Terrace but after seeing how the Museum looked like a basic structure in comparison I removed BPT. But now I can happily add it back in to the mod list as I'm all for consistency!!
The modular patches page I linked in the description does have a BluePalaceTerrace-LOTD-PCE-Patch. This mod is probably clear of any conflicts because it's contained within the footprint of the museum. You can try it without worries because it has no navmesh and no persistent records, can even add it and remove from an existing save at will. Check if there's any clipping with PCE; but I bet there isn't.
