Version 3.0 UPDATE: FRESH INSTALL REQUIRED. Deactivate in MCM. Save. Remove mod. Play and save. Install and activate. Your existing playthrough will still be ok.
This was my first mod almost two years ago and a lot of things needed restructuring in order to be able to continue to build on it. This required removing old script properties and therefore a new install is required. This, however, has given me the opportunity to modify the mod's architecture, clean up the scripts, and add some new features. Check out the change log on the description page for more details.
I think this should be it for SITF for a while but let me know if there are any issues.
Update: I was working on a follow-up to this mod and ran into some similar issues that I've encountered here. I won't be updating it for a while as I'm not modding skyrim much right now, but I'll keep you posted.
If this mod is not working for you e.g. you die and no sacrifices are made even though you have them checked, move this mod to the end of your mod list (in my case, I put it just before Skyrim Unbound). This mod needs priority in order to work properly, and LOOT doesn't put it in the right position. Also, this change won’t work for a save where you already have this issue. You have to start a new game or maybe a fresh reinstall of the mod.
This mod is amazing by the way. I use it together with Skyrim SafeSave System Overhaul 2.
Well, i love this mod, great work, dude! But, if you can, i really want one addon to this, can you make one way to configure clothes to respawn in cemetery? I think this because nobody is graved naked, know?I really wish you can understand me, im not really good in english, im triyng to make my best here.
for me for the mod to work perfectly I have to disable it after I enabled it in a game save and then disable it and make clean save and install it again
Edit: it seems when I start new game and all the mods are loading at the same time It messing up something including this mod. so another method I tried is to start new game with just basic and most important mods like engine fixes and so on with alternate start so you don't start the game directly. and then enable the mods it kinda working this way and I think this is better
Hi, I am testing it right now and there are a few issues or maybe I got it wrong, idk.
It always sacrifices various items, is that normal? (not only 1?) MCM is on 1 sacrifice. And ig it is normal, what does that MCM option do? Nvm this one. I found the extra MCM option for various items.
It sacrifices quest items (just took the golden claw away while testing). Is that supposed to be? Is there a way to get these items back and I missed it? (I thought they were gone for good but that would be a problem when it takes quest items)
It doesn't take my money.
I tested with gems and added 33 of each (via console). It always took the whole stack.
I like the idea of the mod but for now, it is not working right, it seems. Well, it's also late here, I will look deeper into it tomorrow, hmmm
--- New day, new try: I set the plugin to load last which only fixed the money. After removing all coins from my character, the sacrifices went straight to losing skill level (which is set last) despite me having gems and other items on me. When I unchecked skills as a sacrifice, it took gems and misc items again. Same issue... the whole stack was taken (33 emerald AND 33 flawless emerald → seems a bit too harsh). Also, the Golden Claw (quest item) has been taken again. So in short... #1 NVM, my mistake #2 still bugged(?) #3 fixed by making the plugin load late #4 still bugged(?) - can't imagine this is supposed to be? --- Another test with only souls + gold activated: even with gold as a priority, it would take souls first. With no souls available, it does take the gold, however. When I checked with the randomized option, it would at least also take gold sometimes despite available souls. So long story short... I suppose it's playable with only gold and souls activated (maybe skills as well, it's a bit hard to test as it doesn't say which skill was sacrificed - but I might just do further testing → skills work fine with the 2 other options) + randomized option because it won't take the gold otherwise as long as the other options are available. --- Edit: After having a moment of enlightenment, it occurred to me that with "gems" soul gems are meant, not diamonds etc. (yes, big facepalm). So I tested that, too. Works fine. So...
Gold
Soul Gems
Skill Level
Dragon Souls
These with the randomized option and the mod is just fine to play with (I didn't test equipped armor/weapon or player level as I wanted to exclude them to begin with). It's a pity, the random items do not work (after reading through some of the comments I suppose it is known there are issues). It is still nice to play with, even with a bit of workaround.
Its probably finding the item and removing all of that item as opposed to taking just one of it. Yeah, I'd just turn it off then if you carry a lot of stuff on you.
