About this mod

A simple dual wield mod originally made by Borgut1337. Left attack is now block, main attack randomly swings either weapon. No SKSE required.

Changelogs
(Original mod is here. Please endorse the original if you use this and like it.)

I obtained permission from Borgut1337 to convert this. I wanted to do that because a lot of the dual wield block options for SSE are SKSE-dependent and feature heavy, and often depend on hotkey binding that changes the muscle memory for combat. This is simple, no-frills, does what it says on the proverbial tin, and is a close match for the vanilla controls.

From the original mod description:

Dual Wield Parrying Random Attacks
- The default block button (which you also use to block when you have a shield) will now also allow you to block when dual wielding two one-handed weapons or when using your bare fists.
- You can no longer control with which hand you strike when dual wielding weapons or using your fists. Instead, you will randomly sometimes use the left hand and sometimes the right hand.
- This mod has no effect when you are sneaking.
- Only the combinations One-handed Weapon + One-handed Weapon and Nothing + Nothing are supported. [Edit: In other words, no blocking with spells or staves.]

Addendum by me
- Bashing works as per the usual controls, and looks like a swipe with the off-hand weapon.
- As far as I can tell, it does NOT do attack cancellation on a power bash. So it's slightly less effective than a shield or blocking with a weapon. I'm okay with this.
- As far as I can tell, mods like VioLens still identify you as dual-wielding, and will show those killmoves.
- If it matters, the version I converted was the Dawnguard version.

That's pretty much it. There's no config, no MCM, etc. Just install it, enable it, and go.

The Usual Caveats

Mod is provided as-is. I'm a newb and know just enough about modding to get myself into trouble. So if this doesn't work for you, I sadly will probably not be able to help you. It works fine for me on a save game that's been put through the wringer, 130+ mods, cleaned in ReSaver a few times because I screwed something up or had weird problems with script spam, and so on.

All I did was save the .esp as Form 44, and have changed literally nothing else in the mod.

Enjoy!
